We asked Sen. McCain if he saw Whitman as the future face of the Republican Party and he said "yes." He also mentioned three current governors as the next generation of leaders. Noticeably absent from that list was his former running mate, Sarah Palin.

McCain in the spotlight? I thought he was too busy filming Weekend at Bernies 3.
McCain has turned out to be a real douche.
I think it is the mainstream media that is covering McCain.
They cover McCain, but the slander Palin.
y
We know from that who is the real patriot.
Time to put gramps in a home for the incurably clueless.
At least I know he'll never be President so I can take some small comfort in that. He didn't deserve it no matter how entitled he thought he was.
McCain and his daughter continue to let their jealousy run wild. They were always jealous that McCain, on his own, had lackluster crowds of 2,000 or less, while Palin, on her own, drew tens of thousands of wildly enthusiastic supporters.
how can anyone trust this person, he selected Palin as his running mate received an offer from the empty suit and presto he threw palin under the bus.
And now he has the nerve to diss her, what a creep.
I went to see Sarah Palin in Richmond, VA last fall. 30,000 plus people standing in the heat for HOURS to see and hear her speak. Meanwhile, McCain was doing good to get 5,000 people show up to hear him campaign.
Unfortunately, I believe Sarah Palin was trashed beyond repair by the media making her unlikely to be an effective candidate in 2012, but without her on the ticket in 2008 I doubt if McCain would have received 35% of the vote.
Wrong on gun control
Wrong on immigration
Wrong on abortion
Wrong on benefits for illegal aliens
Wrong on global warming
Wrong on John McCain
Wrong on Mitt Romney
Wrong on Pete Wilson
Wrong, wrong, wrong....
Picking Palin as his running mate was simultaneously the smartest and most disingenuous decision he made. Limiting Palin’s message during the general campaign and allowing her to be subverted and smeared by his own staff was the dumbest and cruelest thing he did. The man demonstrates psychotic behavior.
That day in Wisconsin when the man in the crowd stood up expressing his frustration with obama’s plans and McCain started defending obama.......I KNEW then that it was over.
McCain didn’t want to win.
How ironic. McCain, a major factor in the death of the party, is predicting that another RINO is the future.
I can’t tell whether McCain is a deluded, senile old fool grasping for a “legacy,” a willing traitor, or a Manchurian programmed by the enemies of the American Republic to inflict maximum damage to its defenders.
Regardless, he—and Romney, who he appears to be shilling for now—must be purged from the Republican Party, along with the other RINOs and any establishment Republicans who get in the way of conservatives, if the party is to have any hope of surviving the next few election cycles.
and now, he goes into true irrevelance....
the only thing he did right was to name Palin....Palin brought all the crowds and all the money....McCain didn't do squat...
I would bet that McCain named Palin simply thinking it was a weak choice, yet, to his dismay, SHE WAS THE TICKET....the whole ticket and he was routinely outdrawn, out gunned, out classed by the one and only Sarah Palin....
and just when the ticket surged ahead, bam....we get the finacial breakdown and to me, I still think it was highly suspicious.....
I will say that I am not prepared yet to support Gov Palin for prez.....time will tell.....but she was the BEST candidate of the bunch last time...absolutely the BEST...
