That’s what I say. There have been quite a number of free-lance jihadists within the lower 48 over the last seven years.

Oh I agree. I too believe we have been hit before other than the WTC in 1993 and 2001.
However, my perspective of the article is that it’s an attempt to make Americans believe terrorist activities are normal, everyday events and Americans overreacted to 9/11. We should just live with terrorist attacks as the rest of the world does.

And really, we’ve killed thousands of terrorists. So whats a few thousand more. And we’ve invaded a few countries over the years. So again, whats a few more.
I agree that its no big deal. They do what they do? And then we do what we do. They can’t pretend they didn’t know what they had coming. Attack Americans, and you get put on our short list. Sooner or later we’ll get to you. Be patient, we’re coming.
The fact that most would-be terrorists are incompetent nitwits is beside the point and using statistics to reduce the importance of a major terrorist attack by making it one of many is a misuse of statistics.
But if we borrow from the study’s methods and consider the War on Terror from a statistics point of view, then the war is going extremely well in regards to the number of enemy killed and captured, the statistically small number of allied casualties, and the successful execution of most of the major strategies by the allied powers. When compared statistically to other wars of the past two centuries the success of the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is even more evident, especially when compared to similar adventures by other modern powers (Russian adventures in Afghanistan, etc.).

When you think about it, there will be, eventually, apologists, like yourself, who will make the same statements about the current occupier of the WH. They will claim that Oscumbo was a Christian.
Moreover, when the destruction of the U.S. as we once knew is complete, they will say that it is not relevant that he was radicalized at an early age both in grade school and later in the American communist movement.
