Democracy is not always the best form of government. (I know, a Free Republic is better). It depends on the intelligence of the electorate.

I prefer a government provided 365 day a year paid vacation. And...
Free housing.
Free car.
Free health care.

What businesses don’t give 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment? What businesses don’t give paid holidays after 90 days?

The creation of the four day work week was very popular in France. When they tried to repeal it because it was killing the economy, the “Utes” rioted. Of course, they had they had time to riot since they were all unemployed.

I get (unpaid) days off, but haven't had a paid vacation since 1982.

Pretty scary, if the numbers are accurate. And this is the same Rasmussen organization that not long ago had a poll showing a solid majority believed in LESS government interference with our lives. But apparently a solid plurality think it’s OK to spend more of our own money to give us more leisure time. Convoluted thinking, IMO.
