Well, for a Reuters’ feed I’d say that was close enough. At least it didn’t have doctered pictures of the burka lady crying.

You know you watch too much NASATV when you use the terms nominal and I concur. LOL. Commencing Sunday Brunch in T-minus 918 seconds...

Reuters should have stayed with “Landed on Earth.”

Nice landing. It’s easy to forget the amazing effort and amount of things that have to come together just right because it goes right so often.

Now Canada.com has picked up the bad feed. Reuters hasn't made the correction yet, approaching an hour later. tsk tsk

I was on the edge of my chair watching the landing with a mixture of excitement, awe and pride (as opposed to hope, fear and change, LOL).
I just wished the cockpit camera hadn't come across the TV feed with fatal interference. I would have loved to see a split screen with the outside landing being shown concurrently with the view from the camera inside the plane's "windshield".
But I'm just thrilled to see such a beautiful event at all. Congratulations to the courageous and adept crew on this memorable Memorial Day weekend.

It was a serious house-rattling double “boom” here in Camarillo. The blinds on my windows swung in a good 6 inches. At first I thought it was a quake but the significance of 2 booms quickly registered. Glad they’re home safe after a successful mission.

There were 50-60 cars gathered around EAFB’s south gate trying to see what we could. It was neat.

I googled the question. They fly back on a 747.

It’s a very specially rigged 747.
