WASHINGTON – A GOP senator from the nation's leading coal-producing state contends Democrats will increase energy costs and make the U.S. more dependent on foreign oil if they focus solely on alternative energy.

In the party's weekly radio and Internet address Saturday, Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., said Republicans support a more comprehensive energy plan that would increase funding for energy research, develop U.S. oil and gas resources and promote clean coal and nuclear power.

...

.. Barrasso said wind and solar only account for about 1 percent of U.S. electricity, far below what is needed to meet the nation's energy needs.

US dependence on fossil fuels and a vulnerable electric grid pose a perilous threat to the country's national security, retired military officers warned Monday in a report. (AFP/File/Tim Sloan)

“wind and solar only account for about 1 percent of U.S. electricity, far below what is needed to meet the nation’s energy needs.”

They don’t care! Wind and solar make them feel good, less guilty.

( States with Commercial Nuclear Industries)

(Nuclear power plants and other large nuclear facilities in the United States)

It is time to put to rest the Green's and all Environmental fears about this. Nuclear power is clean, efficient, and relatively cheap....if you keep the hustlers out of the profit margins. Do your homework then contact your reps and senators...there is an election coming up...build plants now!

What is worrying me is that all this has a moderating effect on Barack Obama. It’s great we’ve temporarily put off cap & trade, closing Gitmo, etc. but the result is he seems more moderate than he is to regular Americans that don’t pay attention. I want Americans to see him for what he is.

This deserves closer inspection...the antitheses of regressive views for the most part - anti-nuclear. (Nuclear power plants and other large nuclear facilities in the United States.....Natural Gas YES! Wind Power NO...WP produces little energy for the cost and no way to store it....Nuclear and Natural Gas should be moving ahead by leaps and bounds.

It will take another twenty years to get to a point where alternative energies can meet a fraction of our needs. We best drill for oil, and develop shale oil fields while we are waiting. We could also build a few nuclear plants. Of course, 0 has his own agenda, so buy lots of candles and blankets.

0’s answer is “hem, mmmm, uh, but in a perfect world it would supply our needs and I, the ONE, will insist to all Americans that I can make it happen because I er, um say I can.”

After the economy collapses you won't need more energy because you won't be able to pay for what you're getting now. Green energy is a ruse to keep us occupied while bankers siphon off more assets and to also make more money by creating another useless industry. They are providing you with a story that "you can believe in" which buys them more time. You don't think that Obama could actually design a credible energy plan?

This is like throwing a guard dog a steak to occupy him while they are looting your house. Or flying planes into the trade towers to mask the already planted explosives.

Remember building 7. It collapsed without being hit by a plane. It was never mentioned except on the first day of the collapse by the lamestream media. Why? It couldn't be explained. It wasn't even mentioned in the first report from the government investigation of NIST. A few years later they released a report on building 7 (WTC7). They couldn't explain how the building could have collapsed from fire.

To get a better idea see the work of Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth. 659 architects and engineers are demanding a new investigation.
