Spokesman: Obama doesn't mind rival speakers (VP Cheney vs. Present_ent Obama)
The Bradenton Herald / The Associated Press ^ | May 22, 2009

The top White House spokesman says President Barack Obama doesn't have any particular problem with former Vice President Dick Cheney speaking out on counterterrorism policy or any other issues.

Press secretary Robert Gibbs was asked Friday if Obama resented Cheney making a speech almost at the same time as his wide-ranging defense of the decision to close down the prison at Guantanamo.

Gibbs said he didn't know what the protocol was for former vice presidents speaking often and loudly in public shortly after leaving office, although he noted that former President George W. Bush has decided to mostly remain out of sight.

Translation into English: He's SEETHING that ANYONE would dare question his actions and motives on ANYTHING!! This Gibbs idiot thinks that he's being subtle, but a 3 year old could see through his innuendo.

What’s Mr. O supposed to say, he doesn’t like it?

I’ll bet he’s furious with Cheney!

Hah! Good!

Hey, Earth to Gibbs: Carter and Clinton bashed Bush continually, and they were former PRESIDENTS, along with that fat fool Gore, who was, yes, a former VP!

W. is quiet because he didn’t do a thing to help himself for 4 years or Mccain in 08. He let his idiot Sec of Treasury work with Reid and Pelosi to hand the white House
to the Obama and payoff all their cronies on Wall Street.

Obama has seen fit to attack Bush since he started running for office. Bush rarely defended his actions. What gets me is Bush hasn’t said a word since Obama was elected, yet Obama continues to bash Bush.

Bush accepted the mess Clinton left him, and went about being president. Obama thought he could just waltz into the White House, go to Europe and convince them to take over on their problems, and let Obama simply change America’s social policy at will. It’s time Obame grew up, and started being a leader on teh real issues at hand.

Moonbat posters on the Boston Herald page sound like they don’t think there’s a need for the mid-term elections when they rave about Cheney.

Dick Cheney had been scheduled, for some time, to speak at The American Enterprise Institute in defense of the Bush administration's security policies. He was responding to the hasty and irresponsible blustering of 0's administration regarding a possible "Truth" commission. Here's Cheney:

"It's hard to imagine a worse precedent, filled with more possibilities for trouble and abuse, than to have an incoming administration criminalize the policy decisions of its predecessors."

0_bama tried to pre-empt this speech with his own at the same time in the same city and got 'Powned'.

"We lay into these guys every single day and blame them for all the bad and take credit for all the good. How DARE Cheney respond? It's just not proper."

Dick Cheney = Sir Winston Churchill

Yep exactly,

Cheney’s talk was scheduled for quite a while. Obama is the one who scheduled his to try to diminish Cheneys.

Cheney speaks out because it’s still a free country.

Obama is doing his damndest to change that.

That’s right, Obama tried to trump Cheney’s speech, and failed miserably. If Obama was truly sympatico with Cheney speaking, he wouldn’t have scheduled an attack speech timed to blot out Cheney’s speech.

Gibbs really is Baghdad Bob, constantly telling us not to believe our lyin’ eyes.

“Gibbs said he didn’t know what the protocol was for (Fill in the Blanks).” One of the most impressive things about the zer0bama administration is that they don’t know the protocol for anything, e.g., bad mounth predecessors, insulting the British, etc.

Gibbs fails to point out (astonishingly) that the Cheney speech was scheduled for weeks and the Zero speech was pushed together by the urging of communist congressional base.
