everyone (except here) completely misses the point that it was Bella herself that was trying to demigog and push this story for political purposes (along with the One) as a diversion but inadvertently stepped in it. Now she is just trying to get it off of her shoes, and the GOP is mad from the hypocracy, not trying to start something new here.

When Fox cut away from the Pelosi news conference, I thought I would try CNN or MSNBC. Neither were giving her any face time. Obama was speaking so Pelosi was trumped. LOL!

So now Pelosi has nothing more to say on the issue. Following the tried and true strategy of so many Democrats. Stop talking about the issue, and let it die down. The Republicans are missing another golden polticial opportunity - to take down the Speaker of the House, and send a valuable message about public officials lying to the American people and accusing our intelligence officers of lying. All these Machiavellian schemes leave Pelosi ‘twisting in the wind’ won’t amount to anything. Just as Chairman Rangel. Another opportunity wasted.

don’t think so - IIRC, the documents removed and destroyed by Sandy Berger were all Clinton-era documents, not Bush-era. The supposition at the time was that they contained notes indicating an offhanded response to serious incidents, such as Khobar, the Cole, etc.
