Computer virus strikes US Marshals, FBI affected

"WASHINGTON (AP) - Law enforcement computers were struck by a Mystery computer virus Thursday, forcing the FBI and the U.S. Marshals to shut down part of their networks as a precaution. The U.S. Marshals confirmed it disconnected from the Justice Department's computers as a protective measure after being hit by the virus; an FBI official said only that that agency was experiencing similar issues and was working on the problem."

Huh ? if they don't know what the virus is, how can they say no data was compromised ?

me too. I work in IT security industry. Polymorphic malware is so advanced these days, it is hard to combat.

The situation is more serious than we thought. Computer viruses have mutated to communicability to humans.

At one time Kim Komando was a strong proponent of OS/2. OS/2 was better than Windows in so many ways including security.

But IBM sold out (criminally, in my opinion).

The virus affected the FBI database search function too.

When you type in: "Sexual deviants who need to be arrested" into their search engine, this picture comes up.
