SNIPPET: “One man was arrested and an entire neighborhood was displaced following a tip that led to the discovery of more than 1,000 pounds of explosives and other hazardous materials.”
Little old sleepy Santa Cruz is starting to get more and more scary.
Hmmmm... I use to live in Santa Cruz long ago and there aren’t too many “right-wing extremists” there. Could this fella be a left-winger nutjob terorist?

SNIPPET: “LIVE OAK — The Sheriff’s Office Bomb Team seized more than 1,000 pounds of commercial-grade explosives and potentially dangerous chemicals from a house at the corner of 25th Avenue and East Cliff Drive on Wednesday.”
SNIPPET: “The original shipment of materials was not delivered, but during the search Wednesday, a UPS truck arrived at the home to deliver more potentially dangerous materials, Campos said.
Deputies and bomb technicians were at the property all day Wednesday. The majority of the chemicals, compounds and mixtures — stored in plastic buckets and cardboard boxes — were found in a metal shipping container next to the garage. Commercial and homemade fireworks were also seized, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Robert Pursley, commander of the Bomb Team, said the fireworks and explosives found on the property appear to be for personal use.”
Stanley’s probably cooking crank.
Just like you I’m familiar with the area...I don’t think anyone right-wing lives there.
Beautiful area.
Basically, I’m just archiving this incident here.
Chemicals removed... but, there was no mention of charges like that.
I wonder what I would happen if it happened here. I generally have a shot and a beer with supper and wouldn’t leave the apartment.
