Japan girls with swine flu attended mock UN meet
Thu May 21, 2:29 am ET
TOKYO (AFP) Two Japanese schoolgirls who have caught swine flu had attended a mock conference in New York reportedly joined by 2,300 students from around the world, officials said Thursday.
The girls, both aged 16, tested positive for the A(H1N1) virus Wednesday, becoming the first known cases in the greater Tokyo area, officials said.
They were diagnosed after returning Tuesday from a week-long visit to New York where they took part in what Japanese media described as a United Nations-style conference with 2,300 international students held May 14-16.

Ping!
Ping!
And I thought I was watching Obama puking garbage. It makes sense now, I’m watching a little girl puking in a mock UN meeting from pig flu.
“I Went to New York and All I Got was the Lousy Swine Flu!”
What is the swine flu?
I heard of a political corrected flu called the “H1N1 Bush’s/right wing extremist’s fault flu”....is that the same thing?
The U.N. should be mocked at every meeting. :)
“UN-style conference”
Teaching them how to destroy lives millions at a time like professionals.
And where is the list of people that the Conference decided should be mocked for the coming year?
With luck they french kissed the Iranian and Palestinian delegates.
Lie down with dogs and get fleas.
Sounds like the girls learned a bit more about the rest of the world than they really wanted to know.

We spent the whole time (4 days or so?) arguing over the points of order, etc. (Who will sit where, who gets which microphone, etc.) We never got to any of the scheduled points. (One of which was the Palestinian State thingy - 30+ years ago!!)
We had to give a talk to the Rotary Club. I told them how disappointing it was, but that many of the leaders said “that's how it works at the real U.N. too”. I told the Rotary Club that with that kind of stupid stuff going on - it is no wonder nothing ever gets done.
Of course now, 30+ years later - Thank GOD there is all that bureaucratic stuff going on so the U.N. can't get anything done!
P.S. I was talking about all the stupid bureaucrats in Washington messing everything up and my one daughter asked “Are those drunk Democrats?” I said “Huh?” She replied “Beer-o-crats; is that a name for drunk Democrats?” ROFL!!!
I went to the UN for a third or fourth grade trip. I started to feel sick before we all were to leave. A guy and girl came up to me with a wheelchair; I would imagine now that the UN may have their own medical facilities on-site.
I guess I subconsciously knew that the UN was an evil, evil place.
