John Cornyn’s manure is so thick he could build dung huts in Texas

John Cornyn knows better than you conservative boobs and he wants you to know it.

In commenting about the NRSC’s endorsement of Charlie Crist, Cornyn said

“I need to constantly remind some of my very conservative friends who want to sort of purify the party – and, in so doing, cast us in a permanent minority status – that Ronald Reagan said the person who votes with me 80 percent of the time is my friend and ally, not a 20 percent traitor,” Cornyn says.

But contrast that with this statement from Cornyn in the same article:

n 2010, cting “public anxiety about spending and borrowing” by the Obama administration and the fact that the popular president won’t be on the ballot, “there will be some genuine opportunities for Republicans, assuming we get good candidates, assuming we do our job to raise the money.”

Yet, in Florida, John Cornyn has endorsed a man who supports Obama’s spending and borrowing. How the hell does he expect to make the case to voters who have “anxiety about spending and borrowing” that they can trust Charlie Crist on that issue?

Senator, you should flush the endorsement and your manure filled statements along with it.

Cornyn's had quite a month. After endorsing Arlan Specter over Pat Toomey, he begs Sen. Hutchinson not to resign and actually expresses doubts over a Republican's ability to win the seat in a special election. Then, he endorses Crist over young, hispanic, conservative opponent Marco Rubio. Most recently, he summarily dismisses conservative critisism of the Crist endorsement while, in the same interview, stating that Republican opposition to Obama's spending and borrowing will be a key to the 2010 election. However, just yesterday, Crist came out in support of Obama's spending and borrowing and said he would have joined Arlen Specter in support of the $700 billion stimulus plan.

Call Sen. Cornyn's office at 202-224-2934 and let him know that you are disgusted by his endorsement of Crist and want the NRSC to stay out of primaries.

It’s official: Cornyn is a RINO apologist, if not an outright RINO.

Cornyn doesn’t want Kay Baily to resign because he and anyone within 5,000 miles of Austin knows Perry can’t beat her in the primary. Perry’s down 20 points and KBH hasn’t even announced.

and, in so doing, cast us in a permanent minority status – that Ronald Reagan said the person who votes with me 80 percent of the time is my friend and ally, not a 20 percent traitor,” Cornyn says.

On the contrary Johnny you and your fellow Republicrats have made yourselves the majority party.

Some other quotes from Ronald Reagan:

"We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." – Ronald Reagan, 1965

“A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency or simply to swell its numbers.” – Ronald Reagan, CPAC address, 1975

What the HELL is his excuse for endorsing a loser like Crist in a PRIMARY election? He doesn’t even have the feeble excuse that he had with Specter that Crist is the incumbent.

No one is asking him to endorse Rubio. Just shut the hell up and let them run against each other, and may the best man win.

So if she beats Perry he can name himself to replace her in the Senate.

I have called, have faxed, have sent an email. I am more then a little disgusted with Cornyn over Crist who is Specter lite. As for Kay Bailey, guess he is afraid that Rick Perry will appoint the articulate, conservative Michael Williams as Senator and give him a leg up on the general election.

Looks to me like Cornyn is not going to endorse conservatives. To endorse Crist over Rubio flies in the face of Republicans wanting to reach out to Hispanics. Cornyn may have bit off more then he can chew if the FL Grassroots become active to defeat Crist. Hillsborough County Republican Party has already started the grassroots movement with their Resolution against FL GOP Chair for his endorsement and getting others to endorse Crist against the RPOF Rules.

Time to tell Cornyn to repudiate his endorsement and stay out of the primary. Today McCain endorsed Crist which was a gimme. That shouldn’t help but hurt Crist.

Support Marco Rubio with your time and your money and don’t give one red cent to NRSC — give to candidates only!

I think they all have been. Cornyn should know better though.

How about just DO YOUR JOB!

LOL, right just keep asking you'll get the same answer.

Cornyn is also a big amnesty/open borders RINO, even though 70% of the people oppose it.

Texas will not have a conservative running for governor.
The choice will be Kay Bailey Hyphenated or John Cornyn.

Hey, Cornyn, three quick points:

1. Reagan never flipped the bird to the conservative base. He embraced them.

2. When Reagan compromised, he did so to push the 80%, not the 20% compromise, which is what RINOs do.

3. Reagan didn't compromise on the basic tenets of conservatism (small government, respect of life, respect of religion, LOVE OF COUNTRY).

We're not “purifying” the GOP, Cornyn. We're just trying to flush the “floaters.”

Cornyn is, like Lindsey Graham and John McCain, a govermentarian. A we know best kind of guy and you loud people should just shut up and let us run things.

We’ll give you government control of your lives by sippy cup, rather than by big beer steins.

He dresses well and is always well coifed.

The problem with this 80/20 crap is that the 80% are normally easy votes or those of little consequence.

When the chips are down and it requires a tough call the RINOs cave on that 20%.

To hell with this 80/20 stuff.
