RFK's son considering Senate bid from Illinois

CHICAGO (AP) - A spokeswoman says a son of the late Robert F. Kennedy is seriously considering a run for the U.S. Senate seat once held by President Barack Obama.

Spokeswoman Kasey Madden didn't say Wednesday when Chicago businessman Chris Kennedy would make an announcement.

The seat Kennedy is interested in is now held by Sen. Roland Burris, who was appointed by ousted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Quick, we must operate before this cancer metastasizes all over the country. Consider that for the past 50+ years we have managed to confine it to the north Atlantic Seaboard ( I THINK ). The furthest south it got was to Maryland, Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend - lieutenant governor from 1995 to 2003. The furthest west before now was Robert Kennedy as NY's US Senator 1964-68.

I tell you we are doomed if this gets out of that area. Anybody know how many Joseph Kennedy descendants there are now? Is there any stopping them if they spill out over the fruited plain? How awful, just imagine voting a Kennedy for Secretary of Waste Disposal, perish the thought!
