“We’re doomed in 2012 if Palin’s a major player in the GOP”

Very true. She has already let the press define her as a stupid redneck, and she can’t take that back. We need someone fresh.

The press had defined Reagan as a stupid actor in the late 70’s.

Those images can be overcome if there is a unified message sincerely marketed behind a candidate.

And do you really think that anyone “fresh” will not be similarly targeted and destroyed by the MSM and pop culture? Each and every conservative will be.

Palin connects with people, with the tea-partiers. THAT connection is what they fear, because that is ALL they have with Obama. They have no substance, no debate ability, no experience, no evidence of success. All they have is the connection of oratory.

If we get a conservative with substance and experience who can CONNECT, THEY are the ones who are doomed.

The press already chose our 2008 nominee. He lost if you remember.

Agreed. Between her disastrous Couric interview and the SNL parodies, including her own appearance, she is toast. She is the female Dan Quayle of this millenium. Sad but true. We need fresh blood. Is there such a thing as a conservative “community organizer”?

No.....you let the 'press' define her for you. The GOP is better off without people like you who are so easily manipulated by the MSM.

You live in Portland. 'Nuff said.

And I have standing to say that, as a Minnesotan.

(Our governor vetoed the tax increases in the DFL ("Democrat Farm Labor", or "Dumb Frickin' Liberal, take your pick) dominated legislature.)

Cheers!

You have defined Gov. Palin as such.
The adults, the people who know otherwise
and don’t get sucked in by the left will
continue to support Gov. Palin

People like Hunntman, Sanford, Romney, all
sons of wealthy fathers with no clue about the real world.

The 'press' may not be around in 2012!

(They are gonna 'define' anyway...)

Like John McC or Mitt? Oh, yeah! That really worked out well--and McC did much beter BECAUSE of Palin. If not for her, O would have had a landslide.

There is nothing wrong with Palin. The media has tried to define her; you see how smart the electorate is--they elected O and his "change".

Sarah is not responsible for the denseness of RINOS and pundits.
