A YouTube video clip showing pigs being culled in Egypt as part of swine flu measures has caused outrage at the apparent barbarity of the method of slaughtering the animals. The clip posted by independent newspaper Al-Masri Al-Yom includes gory images of pigs being beaten with iron bars, piglets being stabbed and animals being kicked alive into bulldozer buckets.
Since going on line on YouTube this weekend, the clip has sparked horrified reactions from Muslims and from the Christian Copt community, who are the main rearers of pigs in Egypt as Muslims do not eat pork.
Although no case of A(H1N1) swine flu has yet been detected on its territory, Egypt is the only country in the world to have decided to kill all its pigs, estimated to have numbered around 250,000 before the cull began.
The World Health Organisation has said the drastic measure is not scientifically justified.
Arab intellectuals, both Christian and Muslim, have accused President Hosni Mubarak's government of having conspired with the Islamist opposition the Muslim Brotherhood, which opposes rearing pigs "on Islamic land."

As has been pointed out on FR, this is the real reason to slaughter the pigs, it is a way of doing economic damage to the Coptic Christian community.
Brutality and savagery are really close to the surface in muslim culture, there is no way they can deny that.
The pigs are dying from Muslim flu.
A veritable walk in the park for practitioners of the Cult of Death.

I don’t want to see the video. I can imagine it well enough, thank you. It’s despicable the treatment of these animals, whether you agree with Egypt’s seemingly unscientific method of illness eradication or not. There are many more HUMANE methods of culling an animal population if for some reason it ever became necessary (God gave us dominion over animals for a reason).
Sell them to another country that isn’t afraid to eat the pork even — unless there is something the Egyptian’s know about their specific pig population that means necessary and immediate eradication (like an experiment gone horribly awry? LOL).
As far as I understand it, to Muslims pigs are the same as infidels - perhaps a BIT lower, but not much. Is it any surprise that this is the type of war they wage when it comes down to it? (Brutal and horribly inhumane...)
PETA is probably all upset about the treatment of the animals, but when it comes to the treatment of people... not so concerned. They have no clue that some of these same people would love to do the same to their very families — NOT ALL, DEFINITELY NOT ALL — but SOME would like to do the same to them no matter what “side” they profess to support — you are a slave, or you die. These PETA folks just don’t get it, and they will be yelling the loudest on this issue.

It’s bad. Those animals suffered terribly.
And pigs ‘cry’, too... Their squeals... I think it would haunt me for years probably, to tell you the truth... And there is no purpose for it — none at all. You can’t catch this “Chimera Flu” from the meat of pigs.
This will be our fate one day when Islam dominates the planet.
I never thought of the economic angle of this, honestly. Thank you for bringing it up. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if this was “political” (read: religious) persectution as well.
I had been wondering why there were so many pigs in a largely Muslim Country like Egypt. I had not thought of the Coptic Christians. God bless them. The Lord will provide in some way.
They could definitely use our prayers, though — for strength and courage, they are regularly persecuted in that land...
Although like Saddam, they beat their victims with iron bars, they did not cut their heads off, slowly and with a dull blade, as their brother Arabs did, to various humans. Of course cutting their heads off, quickly and with a sharp blade, would be about as merciful as anyone ever is when killing hogs.
It wouldn’t matter they have already dehumanized those they kill.

Islam is pure evil. Today pigs, tomorrow the Coptic Christians. Islam is a monstrous evil which must be stopped.
Seems to be a pattern here...
