Do you mean the Long Beach quake of 1933?

My Dad lived through that one.

There are quite a few faults in the area.
They crisscross the South Bay, Palos Verdes, etc.
One used to go right under my old house.

From post #96...:

PROBABLE MAGNITUDES: MW6.0 - 7.4

That could very well be a warning shock...

Note to self to check on earthquake insurance rates. Seems that I recall a very large deductible last time I checked, but would be better than total devastation, I guess. Anybody have any experience collecting on those policies during past quakes?

That is definitely the longest one in the area.

I’m thinking it might have been one of those that are west of the N-I fault. Like the PV fault, or Redondo... or?

I was in Fullerton last week. Ate at Revolucion Grill on Harbor Blvd. (And no, I didn’t cause the quake).

Been through probably 15 sizable earthquakes and never had a bit of damage.

Screw the insurance companies. They are as corrupt as the banksters.

I just looked at the list of responses at the USGS site.
El Segundo, Manhattan, and Redondo all had some high feedback ratings.
