I am beginning to like General McChrystal. My original reaction to the shuffle of command was negative but more now it looks like a smart move.

According to Michael Yon, one of the reasons the US has succeeded in Iraq is the ability to find and kill those responsible for causing trouble.

So, Hersh finally gets one right.

The Special Operators will get their chance again in A’stan.

“Most of what General McChrystal has done over a 33-year career remains classified...”

Fine.

How come we never hear:

Most of what Barak Obama has done in his life remains classified

Hersh said that there is a special unit called the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) that does high-value targeting of men that are known to be involved in anti-American activities

One can only wonder when the JSOC will get to Mr. Hersh.

The interrogator said that he did see Gen. Stanley McChrystal, commander of US Joint Special Operations forces in Iraq, visiting the Nama facility on several occasions. "I saw him a couple of times. I know what he looks like."

Woah ! You mean this "Jeff" guy saw a commanding general visit a unit under his command ?

Pretty awesome info there "Jeff" . /s

Mr. Hersh has now besmudged the integrity of all the men and women who make up the U.S. Military’s special operations groups. What a dirt bag. Hope he has the presence of mind to keep his scummy self away from places like MacDill AFB, Coronado Island, Ft. Benning, etc.

This is the same Seymour Hersh who wrote a book supporting the Soviet propaganda that the Korean airline they shot down was on a spy mission. Gen McChrystal never engaged in assassination, EVER. If the terrorists he was trying capture fought back they were killed in a firefight with special ops teams. This isn’t just a disgusting attack on McChrystal but on all the Seals and other special ops teams he commanded.

This is good news but I guess ‘ll never understand why any grown up would be shocked to learn that a professional soldier knows how to kill and can be relied upon to kill the enemy.

Seymour Hersh is a typical red diaper doper baby of VERY Leftist persuasion — and “earned” his Leftist Medal of Honor by reporting on any and all on stories which cast the military in a poor light.... His Yiddish speaking parents immigrated to the U.S. from Lithuania and Poland.

He's ANOTHER Leftist thug from Chicago.
Will we never be free of the assholes from Chicago?

This bastard is typical of the type of Leftist Jew that America has in disproportionate numbers....
I would LOVE to trade them for some of the righteous Jews in Israel, who are unafraid of recognizing evil and FIGHTING it to the death...

Seymour Hersh and Human Rights Watch, two fonts of truth and integrity /sarc. No one denies the existance of JSOC, although they certainly do not advertise their activities. What they do is kill the enemies of the United States. Experience has shown that when these people cease to be, they are incapable of killing American soldiers or attacking the U.S.

They are very good at their assigned mission, which no doubt upsets Mr. Hersh to no end. Slime like him will do everything in their power to help destroy America.

It must be true. Why, it is even on television every Sunday night at 9PM, e.g., “The Unit”.

Unfortunately, I think last Sunday night’s show was its last.

Sy Hersh is a flaming lunatic. Here's Wikipedia on JSOC:

The Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) is a component command of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and is charged to study special operations requirements and techniques to ensure interoperability and equipment standardization, plan and conduct special operations exercises and training, and develop Joint Special Operations Tactics. It was established on December 15, 1980, in the aftermath of the failure of Operation Eagle Claw, the unsuccessful attempt to rescue the 53 hostages from the American embassy in Tehran, Iran.[1] It is located at Pope Air Force Base and Fort Bragg in North Carolina, USA.

What's evil about coordinating the efforts of various special forces outfits? I think somebody wanted that job and is now trying to make the new guy's previous assignment seem somehow evil, and is using Sy's well-known paranoia and inability to separate out BS to their own benefit.

Shows what happens when you don't take your lithium.

I don’t know how many folks know this by Hersch penned “A Dark Side of Camelot” which revealed the truth (or I suppose Hersch’s version of the truth) under the rock that was “Camelot”.

I don’t know how much of the stuff in that books is 100% true, but it mostly made common sense, and is pretty much at odds the the liberal narrative that the kennedy’s were somehow gods.

Quite an entertaining read.
