NEW YORK -- Alex Rodriguez's first hit at the new Yankee Stadium was a doozy.
Rodriguez belted a game-ending, two-run homer in the 11th inning to give New York a 6-4 win over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday.

A-rod got his avg up to .154...
I agree with your analysis.

And they finally gave Johan some run support!!!!
Things are looking good...
Good day to do it goo cuz Johann wasn’t at his best.
Red Sox, till death do us part.
I admit to some significant pleasure at the Yankee’s travails, and sincerely hope it is not short lived.
I fully expect them to be there, and a problem, of course.
Yo, how bout dose 25 hunnert dolla seats Yo?
Fuggetabouddit.
Heh.
Check out the worthy and Very cool interactive Yankee 3D seat selector gizmo.
Look around the slick new $1,500,000,000.00 joint (reported) from all around the stadium.
Mmmm, Cupholders for your $11 Beer in the fancy and generally empty blue seats, down close.
Note, select bleacher bums get a somewhat unimpressive view
of the side of a restaurant instead of the opposite field.
Heh.

The place has 5000 less seats, yet I read is 60% bigger?
They used to say the place was like a wall of sound, so many people dropped down close, on top of the players.
Is this still a factor?
I am reminded of the change from the Garden to Fleet Center, and I know it was an old dump, but there was an edge lost in the transition, as far as I am concerned.
There was something medieval, intimidating about that old place.
The previous Yankee Stadium didn’t look anything like the one the Babe, DiMaggio and Mantle played in either.
Heh, I noticed that too. Anyhow, like your screen name. Cheese dip!!
Freegards
Yeah, but he didn’t use the acronym “STFU”.
Who cares.
LOL
Oh, I know! I know very well .... was at the last game in the *old* old Yankee Stadium, and even got a piece of a seat and the tix stubs to prove it! /laughs
But at least the 70's refurbished Stadium was on the same grounds as where the Babe, Joey D, Lou, and the Mick played ... the new one is not. THAT's the difference.
LoL!
Post your team’s scores in the Front Page News sidebar and you can expect some hate in short order.
Unfortunately for you guys, September comes every year.
Heh. I posted that in the Breaking News sidebar when it happened...
Oakland is wishing for september now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team make so many errors as the Athletics have made in these last two games.
The Yankees won? My, that is news!
I’m sure they’ll get a big boost this year from Mr September, Jesse Jackson.
Are you that thin skinned that if someone doesn’t like your team you pout?
Gee why would anyone hate the Skanks? Could it be the mockery they are making of baseball salaries?
Please grow up.
Always good to see intelligent and mature baseball analysis here.
Please Mr. front runner tell me where I am wrong on my analysis. A-Fraud is a juicer (FACT). The Skanks have spent over a billion dollars in the past 4 years with no rings (FACT). Looks like spot on analysis to me.
