TALLAHASSEE A Republican backlash is brewing against the state and national party as they anoint Gov. Charlie Crist's U.S. Senate campaign thereby dissing that of his rival, former state House Speaker Marco Rubio.
From South Florida to Tampa Bay, a few county Republican parties are discussing or passing resolutions telling the state party to butt out of the Senate race or any other primary.
If the state party presses forward, Crist's election could be rockier than expected and his hand-picked Republican Party of Florida chairman, Jim Greer, could find it tougher to hold on to power.
"I like Jim Greer, but the ball is in his court. He needs to level the playing field," said Palm Beach County Republican chairman Sid Dinerstein.
"If he doesn't level the playing field," Dinerstein said, "we have a serious problem in the Republican Party of Florida and we'll have to straighten it out at our July meeting. The press might want to be there for that."

Crist and the rest of the RINOs can go suck it.
I have already e-mailed the Florida Republican Party & told them I will not vote for Crist but will vote for Rubio. We don’t need two Democrat Senators here in Florida.
Oh great now the state of Florida will have 2 Dems in the US Senate and a Dem Gov, looks like the Sunshine State will be the next High Taxes State in the not so distant future....
Utah is packed full of RINOs and is the worst tax-and-spend state in the west, with the entire state govt. hiding behind the "R". Utah govt. is the master at talking conservative and acting liberal. It's time to run these bastards.
Crist helped the slaughter of TERRI Schiavo when he was state attn general. He is a wussy. A confused girlish if ambitious creep who KNOWS no PARTY only his own ambition.
I posted the Resolution on here by the Hillsborough County Republican Party (Tampa) that passed unanimously in a emergency meeting on Thursday. Grassroots Republicans of Florida are standing up and saying NO to Greer and NRSC Chair Cornyn along with others who have endorsed.
It is time State Chairman and the so-called powers in DC stay out of primaries. Here is the email with the resolution passed by HCRP on May 14th:
Dear xxxx,
At an emergency board meeting held this evening, your executive board unanimously passed the following resolution. We stand adamantly opposed to the fact that the Republican Party of Florida is openly and actively endorsing one candidate over another without following Rule 8 set forth in the Republican Party of Florida Rules and Procedures.
We are also opposed to efforts that would invoke RNC Rule 11 in an effort to further that endorsement. Please understand our resolution is not about supporting any one candidate over another, the resolution is about the fundamental principle of following the Constitution of the Republican Party of Florida, its Rules and Procedures.
As your executive board we believe in the primary process and that grassroots Republicans should pick the candidate of their choice, become engaged and work to get that candidate elected in the primary. After that, as a united party we will support that candidate chosen by Republicans in the primary and elect them to office. This is the fundamental belief and principles intended and this is what I took the oath of office to follow and represent.
Remember “There is no past in politics, only the future.” THE FUTURE IS NOW.

RESOLUTION OF THE HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY
REPUBLICAN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the undersigned believe a representative form of government occurs when the supreme governing body is an assembly composed of delegates, elected directly by the members or at intermediate assemblies or conventions of members or their representatives, together with other delegates as may be prescribed in the society’s laws; and, that the power such positive voluntary grant and institution can be no other than what that positive grant conveyed.
WHEREAS, the undersigned acknowledge and confirm that the Republican Party of Florida, as a duly formed entity, is a representative form of government, whose objectives are set forth in the Constitution of the Republican State Executive Committee of Florida as follows:
1) To develop a strong, effective, informed Republican Party of Florida;
2) To support the principles, objectives and platforms of the Republican Party, and to secure the election of all duly nominated Republican candidates;
3) To encourage all able and qualified Republicans to seek office at all levels of government; and,
4) To regulate the use of party name and symbols
WHEREAS, the undersigned understand, acknowledge, and confirm that a closed primary is the proper forum and method for the members of the Republican Party to properly elect the Republican Party’s nominee for a political office.
WHEREAS, the undersigned understand, acknowledge, and confirm that the unequivocal and biased support or endorsement by the Republican Party of Florida as an entity, or any duly recognized subdivision thereof, of any Republican candidate over another properly registered Republican who fosters the ideals and Principles of the Republican Party and is not otherwise morally objectionable, is contrary to the interests and rights of the individuals each respective organization represents and the principles and ideals of the Republican Party, unless such endorsement has been duly voted upon in accordance with Rule 8 of the Republican Party of Florida Rules of Procedure.
WHEREAS, the undersigned hold and assert, that the actions of the Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida and the Republican Party of Florida, since the announcement by Governor Charlie Christ of his candidacy for U.S. Senate, have contravened and ignored the principles and ideals of the Republican party, the underlying philosophies of party primaries, the objectives set forth in the Constitution of the Republican Party of Florida, Rule 8 of the Republican Party of Florida Rules of Procedure, the Republican Party of Florida’s representative form of government, and the inherent duties obligatory to any constituency so represented.
NOW THEREFORE, the undersigned resolve that as individuals, we may express our individual thoughts, concerns and beliefs regarding one Republican candidate over another Republican candidate; however, we resolve not to speak ill of any fellow Republican, nor use any elected office within the Republican Party, The Republican Party of Florida, or any duly recognized subdivision thereof, as a platform to support one Republican candidate over another, unless such endorsement has been duly voted upon in accordance with Rule 8 of the Republican Party of Florida Rules of Procedure.
An endorsement in accordance with Rule 8 of the Republican Party of Florida Rules of Procedure should only be sought where one candidate is morally objectionable, or does not foster the ideals and Principles of the Republican Party.
Where information is disseminated by the Republican Party, The Republican Party of Florida, or any duly recognized subdivision thereof, such information should be fair, impartial, and not infer preference by the leadership of the Republican Party, The Republican Party of Florida, or any duly recognized subdivision thereof, of any one Republican Candidate over another, unless such endorsement has been duly voted upon in accordance with Rule 8 of the Republican Party of Florida Rules of Procedure.
Where Republican candidates are invited by the Republican Party, The Republican Party of Florida, or any duly recognized subdivision thereof, to attend any event sponsored by the Republican Party, The Republican Party of Florida, or any duly recognized subdivision thereof, all Republican candidates for the same office of the invitee shall also be invited to attend. In the event that such invite was extended prior to a Republican candidate’s candidacy for any government office, such engagement shall be acceptable and not contrary to this resolution if such invitation was accepted in the good faith.
SO RESOLVED.
Unanimously adopted by the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee Board this the 14th day of May, 2009.

on behalf of the board

I left my message early this morning and hope all of you will also.
I left a message on their machine, 850 222 7920.
I told them I would donate to and vote for any democrat if Crist is the nominee. I also told them this is what is wrong with the party. WE should get to decide, not the freaks in DC.
I spoke with an Alachua county GOP secretary this morning. They are NOT endorsing anyone. I saw the chairman the other day on TV saying we are having a primary.
This is why the Republican party is swirling around the bowl. The Repub. process must start with the grass root individual and work its way back up thru the primary process and on to the general election if the underlying conservative philosophy of the people is ever going to get represented.
If the local Republican party is going to let the National Beltway poobahs “anoint” and allow only one local individual as the candidate, all we will get is more of the same depressing people...RINOs.
Crist is just another in a long line of oily professional politicians. Say one thing do another. Will get down on his knees to whomever has the money or can help his political career.
the GOP RINOs are working on turning FL into CA. Anyone know if Marco Rubio opposes amnesty?
Crist pals McCain, Martinez, and Graham-nesty support amnesty.

THE RINO REPUBLICAN PARTY IS DEAD!
Fixed it. The Jacksonville area Republican Party monthly executive committee meeting is this coming Monday night. I was originally making it a point to be there for the FairTax presentation but recent events may make this a rather interesting meeting even more so.
Hooah!
Is there any good state(s) left that have the FR seal of approval so to speak?
Go here to see his video introduction and then read his bio page. I donated to his campaign this morning and asked the campaign the specifics of his stance on illegal immigration among other issues.
One major point to consider is he came from humble roots. In my opinion, precisely the type of individual we need to support for a grassroots campaign to oust the RINOs who have so terribly damaged the image of conservatism and its association with the Reagan legacy.
The litmus test for Florida politicians is the Jeb Bush initiated CSX deal, the most corrupt proposal ever foisted on the people of Florida. It is the poster child for all that is wrong with government from the Tallahassee level to the local level.
The people who voted to give CSX millions of taxpayers dollars and to provide an open ended exemption from any liability have proved their willingness to stick it to the rest of Florida taxpayers for their own political/personal gain.
Simple stuff. If you want politics as usual, you supported the CSX deal and we cannot trust you in Washington, Tallahassee, or at the local level. By the way, you’ll never guess which railroad Charlie Crist was actively supporting. We never did figure out why.
Correction:
THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS DEAD!
LONG LIVE THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY!
Nice to know, especially because Utah’s natnl profile in the general consciousness is that Utah is extremely conservative! Good to hear the truth from one that actually lives there..we have work to go all over the country..!
