Fr. Weslin” “why would Notre Dame arrest a Catholic priest for protesting the killing of babies?” Why indeed?

This stain will not soon go away from the university.

Notre Dame is not a Catholic university, it is a Jesuit university that most people identify as Catholic.

You know what...I'm sorry, but I've got to take umbrage with this as well. The Jesuits are the largest Catholic order in the world, and, yes, have some members who stray from the norm. However, they are the ones who make headlines - the vast majority of them are good, honest Catholics faithful to the Truth.

From my experience, if you ask a Jesuit, “Are you a Jesuit first, or a Catholic first?”, there would be a pause, regardless of what the verbal response would be.

Possibly because they subsist in one another. If I asked you "are you a patriot first, or an American first?" you'd probably pause as well.

Sorry, but, as the product of eight years of Jesuit education, I feel the need to defend the Society at times.

The arrest of the 80 year-old Father was shown on TV last night. The sight of him sitting in almost bewilderment after he was hustled by the cops into the back seat of a squad car almost tore this Lutheran apart. This is so reminiscent of pre-war Nazi Germany.

God bless Fr. Norman, Dr. Alan Keyes and other soldiers of the Cross who are on the front lines of the battle. May they be protected from harm this weekend.

> What evil deed did they think he was going to do if they didn’t arrest him: launch a devastatng, full-scale Rosary barrage?

A Malediction to cause all of Obama’s hairs to fall out from his nether regions, rendering him utterly smooth. Of course.

Thanks for all you do.

I am not catholic but lutheran. So I respect life. I think if somone could get ahold of the alumni donor list and make it public and we could all send emails to these people and explain the travisty that is going on we could hurt the adminestration. Oh and were is the board of trustrees on this matter? Maybe we could screw with them a bit. It has to be embarrasing to put Catholics and Bishops in jail. Lets just do it.

Disgraceful video, but a true testament from the priest.

The police always have the choice to handcuff either in front or in back, and they twisted this 80 year old man’s arms in back as if he were a street hood.

It’s horrific that they handcuffed him at all.

I wondered about that...

At 80, he may have arthiritis in his shoulders...

Pulling his arms back like that would have been painful..

Why did they even cuff him ???

He wasnt resisting...

Did he have them surrounded ???

Left a few comments for that idiot on the YT thread who said he is “pro-live and pro-obama.”

Also, I have forwarded it to my Conservative Friends list. The numbers are going up — cross post to other boards, folks and lets make this viral.

This incident makes me speechless. This shows how liberal evil can corrupt and pervert what is right and wrong.

I am so angry right now!

This priest is 80 years old for Pete’s sake! He has chosen to dedicate his life to Jesus Christ and is being treated like a common criminal.

We are witnessing the destruction of the United States and the right to protest, I hold Obummer accountable with aiding in this destruction!

His agenda must be blocked at every turn!

Well, I watched it, rated it and commented. How utterly disgusting. And they felt it necessary to use force and physically restrain the 80-year-old priest???

What possible threat did he present to justify that use-of-force? He wasn’t even resisting arrest.

Prayers with Father Norm, and a curse upon those dam’nable cowards who would man-handle a harmless elderly gentleman and Man of God so.

Oh and were is the board of trustrees on this matter?

I think this article explains exactly where the Notre Dame board of trustees are: in Obama's pocket. Obama's connections on Notre Dame Board of Trustees Read the article for a "who's who" and their connections.

........."The ND Board of Trustees is a powerful organization, comprised of top international business owners, chairs of rich endowments, academic leaders, judges, attorneys, faculty, and prominent clergy. These individuals are typically very wealthy, well-connected and highly accomplished; many with broad interests outside the university."...........

.............."[A] review of the Board of Trustees at ND does NOT reveal a particularly strong Catholic identity. There are board members whose actions and associations put them in a position directly at odds with Church teaching and in line with the Obama administration.

At the ND board, we see a group of well-connected well-heeled individuals from all sectors of society, and at the most prominent levels. Taking a stand against inviting the POTUS would likely jeopardize membership in the elite club where they travel...."...........
