WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama's personal finances appear to be on sound footing even as the nation's economy struggles, a financial report he released Friday shows.
Obama and his wife Michelle have $1.4 million to $5.9 million in assets, not counting their Chicago home. Their holdings include up to $265,000 in checking accounts.
The president's new financial disclosure report mirrors one he filed a few months ago.
Much of the Obamas' wealth comes from the president's best-sellers. The books, "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope," brought in about $2.5 million in royalties last year, according to tax returns Obama released last month.

It’s a funny thing about wealth and trying to go to work for a non-profit like Barry was recently preaching to a pack of college grads. Rich people, or people with a little bit of disposable income, need to donate to the non-profits so they can hire the new graduates. No donations, no jobs at non-profits. Barry, Michelle-Omarosa, and Slow Joe are notoriously “light” in their donations to charities or non-profits. The irony is rich, no pun intended! The hypocrisy is deafening. The audacity of hubris...

It is amazing how democrat party crooks, who never held a authentic private sector job in their lives, become multi-millionaires on low public salaries.
The financing of these phony book deals for example is a conduit for massive bribes, as is every other aspect of their personal finances. The bribes are structured cleverly, helped by a corrupt and silent media which never investigates.
Thus Michelle Obama gets a no-show job for a big medical center in Chicago for $300,000 a year doing nothing. The hospital center gets $5,000,000 or so federal “earmarks” every year, etc, etc. ad nauseum, until a shiftless loser like Obama gets a net worth of $6 million in no time.
