I’m recently experiencing a plague of crap from the site which has been my homepage for years. It’s been ‘remove trojan’ at least a dozen times in the past month. I’m just saying.

"n a message sent May 4, Paul Harvey of the Boston office wrote that security officials with the U.S. Attorneys Office at the Department of Justice asked them to reformat/reimage two computers because the user visited the drudgereport.com site."
Now we know the rest of the story.

Drudge whacked my FIL's machine last weekend. I'll be working on it THIS weekend (earliest I could get to it).

There is a Trojan.Downloader.exe that is infecting computers. I got hit (not on Drudge, but on a professional web-site) a month ago. It got into my Windows registry and hijacked me to a proxy site. Then I got a bunch of fake Microsoft ads telling me I was infected and needed to buy their anti-virus program for 79.95.
I called an expert and spent $400 fixing the computer. He told me that a week earlier one of his clients said she thought everything was OK because she bought that software several times.
I now use Kaspersky, deactivated my Windows firewall, and dumped Norton. Everything works and the trojan horse was blocked last time I visited the infected site.
