Speaker Pelosi’s House colleagues are standing behind her as she takes incoming fire from the CIA and Republicans on the interrogration briefings flap and are ready to fight back.
House Democratic Caucus Chairman, Rep. John Larson (D-CT), said Friday that he agrees with Pelosi’s assertion that the CIA misled Congress and Democrats will stand with the leader.
“I will stand by her integrity any day of the week,” Larson said, casting the dispute with the CIA as more of a debate between the Speaker and Bush administration officials.
“Nancy Pelosi has more integrity in her pinky than Karl Rove and Dick Cheney possess in their entire body,” he said.
Larson called the question of what Pelosi learned at a September 2002 intelligence briefing on interrogations a “distraction” created by Republicans who want to deter Congress from investigating whether the Bush administration condoned and used torture.
“It’s clear what the other side is up to. They are saying no. They are providing subterfuge and they are not working to get what’s in the best interest of the American people accomplished,” Larson said in an interview with Fox News Channel.
Additionally, in addressing Pelosi’s argument that the CIA misled Congress, Larson tried to draw a distinction and added that what she is talking about is the “Bush-era CIA,” which he says President Obama has since tried to reform.

The Democrat Congress always rallies around their scoundrels. The GOP runs and hides. But, of course, Republicans resign in the first round.
For instance, did a Pelosi "lie" after the Democratic Convention last year change the course of world history by allowing Obama/Soetoro to run for President of the United States?
1. In the recent news, Pelosi says that the CIA "lied" to her and other Congressmen and Senators about torture methods used by the CIA.
2. On the other hand, it seems a lot of famous political figures are saying that it is Pelosi, and not the CIA, who is lying about what the CIA told Pelosi.
3. Question: Has Pelosi lied before, and did this lie allow Obama to run for President of the United States?
4. Hawaii routine election form: I'm talking about the routine Hawaii election form Pelosi signed after last year's Democratic Convention, a document where she not only verified that Obama was the Democratic nominee but also verified that Obama was eligible to be President of United States.
5. A little background: When a person is nominated by either major party to run for President of the United States, a representative from each party routinely has to sign a document in each state where he verifies that so-and-so person is the party's nominee for President.
6. As I said, it is a routine procedure, and nobody really pays much attention to it.
7. However, Hawaii's election document is a little different from the documents used in the rest of the 49 states, as I understand it.
8. In Hawaii, it seems that its election document not only requires that the party's representative verify that the person is the major party's nominee for President, it also requires that the party representative verify that the name on the document is also eligible to be President.
9. That is, in the case of Hawaii's election document, Pelosi, by signing it, verified that Obama was eligible to run for President.
10. My question is this: How did Pelosi know that Obama was eligible to be President?
11. What documents did she see with her own eyes that proved to her that Obama was eligible to be President?
12. Did Pelosi know that Obama was eligible because Pelosi saw Obama's long form birth certificate and his Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard college records? I bet she saw none of the above.
13. My point is this: Did Pelosi LIE when she signed the Hawaii election form that asks the party representative to verify that the party's candidate for President of the United States was eligible to run for President?
14. Myself, I believe that Pelosi LIED when she signed the Hawaii election document and verified Obama's eligibility to be President.
15. Let's suppose Pelosi did NOT sign the Hawaii election document because she had no proof whatsoever that Obama was eligible to run for President.
16. Think about this: If Pelosi had not lied and had not signed that Hawaii election document, then there is no way Obama could have run for President of the United States.
17. And Obama/Soetoro would not be President of the United States today.
If Pelosi was duped by the CIA as she claims, then why did she not bring that up when her aide imformed her of the waterboarding technique being used months later. She waited years to claim the CIA deceived her.
