VAN SUSTEREN: She is shaking things up a little bit in the Republican Party, bringing a little youth to the Republican Party, which has been thought as not exactly -- the younger crowd hasn't been attracted to it.
MCCAIN: She is. And I am very proud of her for that, because she is like her father. She is very straight talking. She is very genuine in her beliefs and what she is trying to do.
And there's -- it's wonderful. It is remarkable. And I think she is doing not only a great job, but I think she has the ability to make people sit up and listen.

MCCAIN: I think it is time for a change. New voices are always good. And I think the Democratic Party went through the same thing a few years back, as we remember. And it's time for change. There is new blood coming into it.
And, most important, I think our party needs to be an open party. We need to agree to disagree on some things, and most importantly, involve more people and make them feel welcome.
VAN SUSTEREN: How you do that? What the issues that are keeping people out?
MCCAIN: There's lots of issues. We are divided on so many things, as are the Democrats.
I think what my husband and I have always said, particularly my husband, is he didn't believe there should ever be a litmus test to be a Republican, that we are a party of inclusion and not exclusion.
And that is a message -- the best message I can give.

She is a spoiled Brat like her Father, and was only about 5 when her Mother was zonked out hooked on huge numbers of heavy duty pain meds. she probably had to fend for herself a great deal of the time, and Daddy was away a lot of the time. I pity her, she obviously wants romance and attention and is going about getting both the wrong way. Looking for love in all the wrong places.
Was she ask if she would support her Husband VP choice if she runs in 2012. Bet not.
GO PALIN GO!
She calls her daughter a maverick.
Just like her dad except that I spell maverick

One thing these McCain's all have in common -- they are consistently non-specific on issues, avoiding the question like the plague.
According to Cindy, Democrats are divided and Republicans are divided. So, if we're all just one big divided bunch of folks under a tent, how would she suggest people choose a party and what would be the purpose of said party?
Apparently this McCain camp thinks we should just do away with the platform entirely and turn it into a popularity contest on who is kewl-ist or who throws the best cocktail party.
Cindy, John and their fat daughter should take a long walk off a short pier.
How’s that pill addiction going for you, you stupid whore?
I think this is Juan McCain's revenge. He and his family are out to destroy the GOP in retaliation for not giving him the presidential legacy he aspired to. And the left is aiding and abetting his vendetta giving ME-ME-Meghan money to write a book, bandwidth to publish her everending dribble, TV spots on liberal talks shows, speaking engagements at subversive GOP groups (e.g. log cabiners), etc. Next up to give her a venue are probably the environmental loons at REP.
What the McCain's are doing is starting to remind me a lot of the early 1900s and the insurgents of the National Progressive Republican League.
Mrs. McCain comes from a family where it is all about the clique of contacts. Mr. McCain comes from an insider inside the beltway military family line.
To them the GOP is just a clique, not a union of principles.
The McCains all have one thing in common. They like to get their stupid puss on TV.
John McCrazy has been on Leno more than The Tonight Show band.
I agree about your assessment of the McCain family lines — I’d call it entitlement, elitism, populism.
If a party does not subscribe to any guiding principle(s), there is no reason for me to subscribe to a party.
Loyalty to that type of party is dangerous, IMO.
Will the good people of Arizona please rid us of this trash?
Please?
I’m waiting for the comments from all those FReepers who called this home-wrecking thief a class act.
The only time Sarah Palin made me cringe was when she used that word...
I agree. Even Juan McCain's 97-year-old mother was a guest on Leno the other night, trash-talking Rush Limbaugh.
What's going on with this McCain family? I wish they'd ALL just go away...
Cindy McCain.
I remember getting a LOT of grief over posting the fact that Cindy stole & used drugs from her own charitable organization.
The McCains need to all GO!
So what Ms. McCain needs to do is start supporting candidates that share her vision and support them in a primary and a general election. If a pro abortion, open boarder person wins against a conservative in the primary and goes on to win in the general, you have a spot on the platform. However, the deal is that if you lose in the primary you support the conservative. If you lose the general recongize the internal battle is still on. Finally, stop complaining that you deserve a voice because you blog.
Greta has been pretty fair since Palin came on the scene, but fast forward was made for just this kind of guest.
She is mortal, no doubt about it but look at her environment.. or maybe it’s just too much of the bubbly or somethin’ .
Cindy, you’re still welcome at the Nascar races but leave the other two at home.
The dog is welcome tho.
It takes a certain kind of woman (or man) to develop an an affair with a married man with a sick wife. Rielle Hunter also comes to mind.
Oh, goodie, another Meghan post, I do so look forward to them
