This is an interesting article about the vice principal in NYC that is sick on a ventilator with swine flu. The media is saying that he had a pre-existing condition that made swine flu worse, but his sons are saying that he did not have a pre-existing condition.

“Adam Wiener said his father had been sick since at least last weekend with flu-like symptoms “but we didn’t think anything of it.” Then early Wednesday, he said, the family called 911 after his father began “hallucinating and wasn’t coherent.”

I find it interesting that the MSM always makes sure they say anyone who has died from H1N1 had “preexisting conditions”.
Everyone has “preexisting medical conditions” in one form or another.

it is feasable that the man had pre-existing that he never told family about or maybe it was underlying that even he did not know about.....

This is no joke. i teach in a JHS one mile west of IS 5 which is closed. My boss is all happy face, everyone's fine, yet I've taught 3 classes today that sounded like tuberculosis wards. We have 10 to 20 kids going home a day but no one is saying anything. This poor guy in Hollis is near death yet his school has been having warning signs since May 1.
This flu isn't 1918, yet, but the govt people are being totally disingenuous with their public responses to how many people are sick and how sick they actually are.

Got an update from another media source indicating that Mr. Weiner is showing some signs of improvement. Wish him and his family the best.

He said his 55 year old father is now suffering from pneumonia, kidney failure, dehydration and a lung infection."Pneumonia" and "lung infection" are the same illness, so the son (or the writer) was being redundant - although the pneumonia could be caused by the flu virus and complicated by another organism such as a bacterium.
