“Yet Kerlikowske’s remarks suggest that he sees little if any role for defensive gun ownership.”
IDIOTS!
-College student’s battle for her life caught on 911 tape
-Police did not respond to her call for help for 48 minutes

“Before the dark days of the Clinton administration, few federal government officials had done more to damage Second Amendment rights than William Bennett, the so-called “drug czar” under President George H.W. Bush. In March 1989, Bennett set off a national panic by pushing the first Bush administration to ban the import of so-called “assault weapons.”
It started with the Bushies and just accelerated.
Each idiot in office is worse than the moron before him.
The Presidential succession is beginning to be reminscent of Chapters out of Gibbon’s Decline and Fall of the ROman Empire”
And we wonder why there is little or no ammunition to be had these days.
Who is wondering? Sure ain’t me.
The ammo shortage makes perfect sense, given the possibilities we face.
Henry Bowman might be standing there.
Yet his officers carried guns. Odd.
Bang
Does anyone believe for a second that people would still call 911 if officers had no guns? Guns are THE reason they are calling.
The loony left lacks logic.
“Czar Kerlikowske’s first major opportunity to promote gun bans may be based on Mexico.
The Mexican government and many of its American media allies are busy blaming American gun owners for the carnage and demanding a host of restrictions on American gun rights: “assault weapons” bans, gun registration, gun-owner licensing, special restrictions on gun shows, gun purchase rationing and so on. Supposedly, these restrictions would prevent guns from being smuggled from the United States into Mexico, supplying firearms for the narcotraficantes. “

They’re really pushing this excuse! Don’t believe it!
Right off the bat, the premise is wrong. The NAFBPO keeps a good eye on this issue. Heres an article they sent today about this.
Mexicos weapons cache stymies tracing
http://www.seattlepi.com/national/1102ap_lt_drug_war_weapons.html
[snip]About a third of the guns submitted for tracing in 2007 were sold by licensed U.S. dealers.
In all, the military has 305,424 confiscated weapons locked in vaults, just a fraction of those used by criminals in Mexico, where an offensive by drug cartels against the military has killed more than 10,750 people since December 2006. But each weapon is a clue to how the cartels are getting arms, and possibly to the traffickers that brought them here.
The U.S. has acknowledged that many of the rifles, handguns and ammunition used by the cartels come from its side of the border. Mexican gun laws are strict, especially compared to those in most U.S. border states.
The Mexican government has handed over information to U.S. authorities to trace 12,073 weapons seized in 2008 crimes - particularly on guns from large seizures or notorious crimes.
But the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which handles the U.S. investigations, is at the mercy of local Mexican police for the amount and quality of the information.
The Mexican government and many of its American media allies are busy blaming American gun owners for the carnage and demanding a host of restrictions on American gun rights... Supposedly, these restrictions would prevent guns from being smuggled from the United States into Mexico, supplying firearms for the narcotraficantes. But all the restrictions in the world have not prevented the Mexican cartels from acquiring grenades, machine guns, mortars and other weapons that are already either prohibited or very severely restricted. The Mexican cartels have gross revenue of about $26 billion a year. Gun smuggling for the cartels is currently a $22 million-a-year business--less than 1 percent of the cartel's revenues. These cartels obviously want weapons, and if a crackdown on law-abiding American gun owners somehow doubled or tripled the cartels' costs of weapons acquisition, the cartels could easily afford to pay the higher prices.
Wannabe tyrants have a reason to hate guns and desire an unarmed population....
In their deepest hearts - they KNOW why our founders wrote the 2nd Amendment.
The Constitution is quite clear about: ...”all enemies, foreign or DOMESTIC”..
But of course, our current poseur President hasn’t seen fit to release a simply document like a Birth Certificate with information to PROVE he is a natural born citizen and eligible under the Constitution to become President..
BLOAT BUMP!
Kerlikowske......must be the Polish word for Nazi gun grabber.
The Obamanation and his familiars will take advantage of every opportunity to advance their social agenda.
We should too.
Unfortunately, main stream Americans have been abandonded by our only hope at present - the GOP.
Just last night Sean Hannity was interviewing Boehmer on his radio show and Boehmer attributed Obama’s change of heart on prosecutions against those who were involved with endhanced interrogations as due to Obama having had a change of heart.
Hannity more correctly ascribed this to the fact that Pelosi and the other Dems had been briefed and approved and any investigations would have eventually exposed them.
Boehmer like most of the GOP leadership, should NOT be leading the party in 2010 and 2012. They blew it in 2008 and 2006.
Its time for them to go and for new leaders to come forward who will tie the party more closely to its roots - to Reagan and Goldwater.

Agreed! Term limits are sounding better and better.
I cannot predict how it will turn out, but hope and pray it will not escalate to the stage Mexico is currently at.
