Rangel-Ochoa, whom police arrested after he was treated for his injuries, remained in jail today, accused of driving with a suspended license. He is not in the U.S. legally, according to police; they did not know his country of origin.
Authorities said Rangel-Ochoa's license had been suspended and revoked numerous times for offenses ranging from failure to complete driver improvement classes to driving under the influence. In 2003 his driver's license was revoked for 15 years following a conviction for third-offense DUI. He now will face a charge of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide, Sgt. Doug Klein said in a police press release.

My brothers car was totaled by drunken illegal aliens. Luckily he was not injured but could easily have been killed. The illegal ones sober enough to flee did but because the truck they were driving was flipped the driver was caught.
So sorry for your personal loss in this. I live a little SE of 180th & Ctr but did not know this poor family. It is the saddest thing, and infuritating... hopefully it will get Suttle’s attenion that it DOES MATTER as to illegals damaging our community. Also an earlier post on here said the kids were not buckled in (I had not heard that in local coverage). If there is no truth to that, we need to be sure the info is set straight.

The same thing happened to me in the seventy's. They plowed into my car while my ex was driving it. They just skipped to avoid responsibility. Some things never change.

Very sorry for your friends tragic loss. I live in IL and even though we can’t get other things right, they have been really tightening up the DUI laws and enforcement. Now we need to do the same for illegal aliens.

Sometimes you have to Bitch on the internet to get the word out. If you don’t advertise they won’t buy the product. The media is not out covering stories like this. People need to be made aware of what is going on. Now we need to start protesting like we did with the tea parties. That is how you get a revolution started.

Heard about the accident on Channel 3 this morning. Of course they didn’t mention the fact that the killer is an illegal. You just have to wonder what the hell this guy had to do to get deported, kill someone with a weapon other than his pickup? And all he is gonna get is a misdemeanor? What a crock of s*&t!

Nebraska thinks they need lots of illegals to work in the meatpacking plants. A couple of years ago, a gang of illegals robbed a bank in NE and murdered several people, mostly women tellers. I live in KS, and the north-south highway that runs through my town is a corridor for aliens. A used car dealer I know unloads lots of junkers on them. How many Americans have been killed or injured by these drivers?
I have never heard of this offense: misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide. How can a homicide be a misdemeanor? This charge sounds like the Colorado rat governor’s usage of agricultural trespassing to allow illegals to avoid deportation.
It sounds like the "authorities" are as much to blame as the illegal. They don't even know his country of origin but he has a lengthy criminal record. It is probably going to take a massive flood of lawsuits to get their attention.
