Evolutionary origin of life even more difficult

Michael J. Oard

Both evolutionists and creationists concede that the naturalistic origin of life is extremely difficult to fathom. Our understanding of life has come a long way since Stanley Miller’s simplistic exploration in 1953, which used the wrong chemicals and achieved only simple amino acids. Using what is believed to be a more realistic primitive atmosphere, little if any amino acids have been formed.[1] Since Miller’s experiment, DNA has been discovered and all the myriad machine-like components of the cell have shown the extreme complexity of even the ‘simplest’ looking life. Back in 1988, Professor Klaus Dose summarized the state of origin of life research:

‘More than 30 years of experimentation on the origin of life in the fields of chemical and molecular evolution have led to a better perception of the immensity of the problem of the origin of life on Earth rather than to its solution. At present all discussion on principal theories and experiments in the field either end in stalemate or in a confession of ignorance.’[2]

However, the evolutionary naturalists are ever the optimists, and so they continue to pursue hypotheses and experiments trying to show that the origin of life occurred naturalistically. Lately they have been turning to other planets for some clues...

Ah, the creationists. Ever willing to forsake faith, to dabble in the arena of scientific inquiry. It is a tactic that is ill advised.

Thirty years of study. It’s nothing, compared to the amount of time that the earth has been percolating life in its multitude of forms. Oddly, time seems to be the enemy of creationists though the earth has made good use of the bazillions of years that it has had to work with.

It has always been perplexing to me as to why the creationists do not feel comfortable with the time scale that life has developed over. If one wishes to deny evolution, you can’t have the earth being around for long. Too much can......evolve in that time, and such a scenario just would not do if ones goal is to deny evolution. There’s the danger in allowing the earth to be too old, re. the creationists agenda.

Having stirred things up a little, I’ll sit back and wait for response, if any.

The idea of a living cell emerging from random processes over any length of time is ridiculous. One might as well expect a fully-functional integrated circuit to have evolved from the random action of the elements upon sand over billions of years.

And an IC chip is much less complex than a living cell...

Yup. It’s fascinating to me that liberals don’t understand how ridiculous it is SCIENTIFICALLY to argue otherwise.

Mixing “just the right chemicals under just the right conditions” simply will not yield complex biological systems all by themselves, if it took from now to eternity.

And no cause or reason or “we’ll find out if we just be patient” is lame to say the least.

Just my thought.......

If one believes in Evolution,
one must also believe in Extinction,
because as one specie dies off, another specie is spawned.
That is how life “evolves”.

So why is man interfering with the natural course of life by creating laws to preserve endangered species?

Never understood that.

==Ah, the creationists. Ever willing to forsake faith, to dabble in the arena of scientific inquiry.

Why do you say we are forsaking faith? The Bible says Jesus grew up in Israel, and by faith that's exactly where we expect Him to have grown up. The Bible says Jesus Christ created the Universe and everything in it, in six earth days, each on with mornings and evenings, so that is precisely what we expect to find.

==Oddly, time seems to be the enemy of creationists though the earth has made good use of the bazillions of years that it has had to work with.

Is that why so many non-creation scientists said darwood was full of it, right from the first publication of his materialist fairytale, Origins. Is that why so many Evo scientists said darwood was full of it from the late 1800s to the 1930s? Is that why so many Evos are abandoning the HMS Beagle, desperately searching for a new-new evolutionary synthesis today?

Please! The HMS is listing badly and starting to sink, whereas the HMS Creation is standing tall, ready for battle, and ready to take on the next evolutionary pretender that comes along after the HMS Beagle sinks below the massive waves of scientific falsification and descends to its watery grave.

I don't see why. The problem I have with evolution is the macro side of the house. They claim larger changes are just the accumulation of alot of little ones. But if that were true all creatures would have a lot of vestigial non functioning body parts that are all going to turn into some else someday (since you can't get wings or an eye in one set of mutations).

The notion that some simple organism could mutate itself into everything we see today is really hard to believe (especially via mutation and natural selection) and since noone I have ever talked to or read can explain the larger changes, I remain unconvinced (I am aware of punctuated equilibrium).

Amusing it is. Laughable. Take any earth minerals and chemicals you want. Put it in your backyard for a few million billion years. Would you bet your house that a human lifeform will climb out?

Just incredibly insane. This universe is way to young for any probablility above .001 percent that any complex lifeform could have made it beyond the bacteria level.

Keep dreaming youngster!

Ah the evolutionist, What a sad sack you are. No belief in God. No one to turn to, talk to, no future. Your end (u hope)is just a turning off a light. Done. The brilliant creation in front of your eyes is just too much. Have you done so much to offend that you are scared to meet God. You will. Satin does not deny God.(doesn’t much care for Him-but it knows He’s there)
Before time - God. Stirr away little one - your response to your denial is closer than you think.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

Jews - Christians - Muslims = all the same sky gods origin myths.

The Flood = at least 12,000 years ago itself from various sources.

Just bury your head in the sands of Satan - he likes that.

C’mon - we all know blood sacrifices are the only thing that gets the gods excited...and virgins...lots of virgins.

Thirty years of study. It’s nothing, compared to the amount of time that the earth has been percolating life in its multitude of forms.

So how did life begin? Some scientists have been telling us lately that the first life emerged very shortly after the earth was formed. (almost overnight in geological terms)

Do you have any idea how COMPLEX even the simplest cell is? Just DNA by itself has virtually zero chance of forming by random chance. And if it can't form by random chance, what natural process could have constructed it in such a short period of time?

Speaking of blood sacrifices, the terrorists responsible for more suicide bombings than any other terrorist organization in the world are Marxist-Leninist evolutionists.

What about the described “morning” and “evening” of three “yoms” before a Sun had even been created to you absolutely necessitates 24 hours?

What does morning denote when there is no Sun?

How long is a day without a Sun?

You envision yourself in a naval battle?

Sorry the ship has left the port and is out conducting commerce and exploration on the high seas almost oblivious to the potshots of a few cranks who wouldn't even know how to hoist a sail.
