Tourism has recently been up a little in Juneau, Alaska. More folks than ever have been interested in taking bus tours through Alaska's capital city with a major attraction being the Alaska State House where Governor Sarah Palin goes about her daily work.
The bus tours are so popular that adorable little Piper has even set up a lemonade stand to sell tourists a glass of lemony goodness to quench their thirst.
And Palin haters in Alaska are livid. They want the bus tours stopped and little Piper's stand razed to the ground. Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS) strikes again. It's an ugly, ugly thing, this PDS and one man in particular is leading the charge but curiously enough his long past of agitation and his criminal record don't quite seem to be making any of the stories in the Old Media.
Theodore "Chip" Thoma that has cavorted about the city erecting crude, hand-made signs shouting that the bus tours should be stopped. He is a vocal opponent of Governor Palin.
Thoma has a few criminal convictions for drunken driving as well as one for possession of cocaine.

AWESOME..Which cruise line do you go with? Norweigan? Carnival? I am only aware of the ones where you have to fly to Seattle in order to get to the cruise ship..but you also mentioned how your daughter wants to meet Sarah, how will that be possible..do you visit Juneau, Anchorage? I think you are only able to spend 1 day in each location right
Big business supports democrats and hates the competition from the little guys.
And spend some time with his dentist as well.
We took Norwegian out of Seattle, and we went to Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Prince Rupert, Canada.
Yep only a day, but I think it’s a good first visit.
I really want to go back and go on a smaller boat (less fancy boat) with just my husband and cruise a lot of the smaller inlets. The kids wouldn’t like a smaller boat, so we’ll have to wait a few years.
Hot...
May her graciousness, competence and elegance ALWAYS grace our national scene !
This story is yet more proof of the hate and underhandedness of the American left. They know they cant beat their opponents politically, so they harass, accuse, attack and use the media as a lapdog to do so in order to drive opponents from politics. Instead of relying on truth and the strength of their arguments, the left resorts to thug tactics.
See how afraid they are of Sarah? Their fear doesn't even allow them to draw the line at attacking her children.
Anti-capitalist. Child molesterer. What's not to love about democrats?
Bet Sarah's got a few guys looking into this cowboy's future. As she should.
In '012 Sarah kicks over Obammie's lemonade stand and the media will be screaming, "Pick on somebody your own size!"
Sarah puts the fear on lefties. When they see her photo, they cringe and start to fester and smoke like vampires exposed to the light of day.
Why can't people see this?
Sarah needs our support. NOW!
“When a grown man has to stoop to harassing a little girl, he has pretty serious issues that require professional care.”
No it is WAY past that he needs a “Talking to Man style.”
It would be nice if his remains were found in some bear poop....My bad
You have a good idea.
The cruise up the Inside passage is fairy tale pretty - if it is not raining (too much)
Take a flight to Juneau with a 3 day layover.
GO see the Mendehall Glacier (you can walk right up to it) GO dog sledding on the ice and take a flight seeing tours of the area. See if Sara is in town (mostly not).
Then, fly up to Anchorage and pick up your rental motor home. Stop at Costco and load up on eats.
Drive to Fairbanks - spend 3 or 4 days there. Take the bus/van to the Arctic Circle, Manly Hot Springs and Eagle (if they get it fixed).
On the way back spend a coule of days at Denali, take the bus back into the PArk.
Back in ANchorage, hit the COstco again.
Drive South. Drop by Whittier (cool beans tunnel drive) and take a Prince William Sound boat ride. Drive on to Seward.
Stay a day or two. Take one of the boat tours.
Drive on to Homer. SPend a couple of days just soaking up the Spit, the halibut fishing and all.
Drive back to ANchorage and cry your eyes out because you have to go ‘home’.
Do this between 1 June and 15 Aug.
The winters are horrible, cold, dark and ...well, you get the idea.
Alaska, come vist and spend your dough.
Then, go home, tell your firends..
I know the feeling...I say I've developed a "seething contempt for all things liberal" in the past two years....
LMAO Make that 99.9%
I was in DC this Sunday doing a little touring. It annoyed me to no end to see groups of people walking around with Obama T-shirts on. One T-shirt I saw being worn by a DC local had the caption “Now it’s our turn!”. Drives me up a wall. :/
I you really want to see southeast Alaska, use the State ferry system (Alaska Marine Highway) You can take your own vehicle and stay at each destination as long as you would like. The ferry runs through the same scenery and stops at the same ports and more as the big cruise liners. Cheaper too.
The back of the Now its our turn!shirts should have read to destroy America. All we have in the white house is an Empty Suit intent on destroying the country.
