Conservative talk radio is like a big pot of soup filled with chunks of carrots, potatoes, celery, tomatoes, corn and whatever other vegetables were tossed in. Each personality is different, but they contribute to the overall flavor.
Liberal talk radio is a similar pot of soup with the same ingredients but it's been pureed. There are no lumps, and it all looks the same bland with no personality.
It's no surprise then that conservatives get attention and criticism from the political opposition, which doesn't like to be confronted with differing thoughts and ideas. Political correctness clashes with reasoned opinions.
In addition, conservative talkers have strong personalities. They speak their minds, clearly and to the point. That makes enemies, and the latest victim is Michael Savage, a syndicated host based in San Francisco.
But this controversy is different. While Savage has many times been the target of individuals and groups claiming to be "offended" by his words and ideas, now he's the target of a whole government and has been banned from an entire country!
If it weren't so serious, it would be laughable.

Waiting.....
Still waiting....
Liberal talk is more like the lagoon behind the hog barn.
Hannity is like listening to a political radio Disney...with his show being broadcast from 4th grade classroom.
Where’s the beef?
Hannity has matured to the level of broadcasting from a 4th grade classroom?
I’m glad to read this. Maybe then only every other person who calls into his radio program for any reason will be a “great American” instead of absolutely every person who calls into his radio program for any reason.
Political Radio Disney is a very accurate depiction of his show, BTW.
"In Germany first they came for the Communists and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist
Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Catholics and I did not speak out because I was a Protestant
The they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me"
Pastor Martin Niemoller 1892-1984)
More on Savage v. UK
I can’t stand his insipid laughter ... “heh heh heh heh” To me he’s - well if I missed Rush, there’s Hannity for follow-up ....
Why should Rush and Hannity come to his rescue after the things this bi-polar little loon has said about them on the air? LOL!
Like that useless comic at the DC dinner last night, stupid people just need to be ignored..........
To visit Londonistan, where gonads and ovaries have been outlawed?
Liberal talk radio? There’s no liberal talk radio. There’s “progressive” talk radio. Maybe that’s what they meant.
The daily 'Bush's fault' diatribe is getting old.
I’m not a fan of Savage but I would defend him here. However its foolish to get irate because another nation bans him.
Ms Simpson has weekend shows on KSFO, Savage's old station in San Francisco. Ms Simpson and Mr. Brian Sussman, also on KSFO, have both spoken out loudly and with passion in support of Savage. Both have dedicated virtually whole shows to supporting him.
Savage of course is now a competitor on KNEW and has maligned KSFO regularly, not always by call letters.
I have been unable to catch every minute of the two-hour live portion of his shows the last few days but I seriously doubt that Savage has acknowledged the KSFO personalities' support.
As Savage has said often over the years, competition in his business is fierce.
The Rat Party (formerly the traditional Democratic Party) is trying to do to radio what it did to real estate and the economy.
"Good" hosts on subprime radio simply repeat what's already been stated in the MSM (drive-by media). Thus they are borrrrring.
“well if I missed Rush”
The commentator I really miss is Tony Snow, may he rest in peace.
But those of us who listen to conservative talk radio should be required by law to listen to those oh-so-original leftwing talk shows that repeat everything we could get from NBC, CBS, ABC, etc..
Mike Gallaghar stood up for Michael Savage on his radio program.
Good for him. Now, we have
1) Dennis Prager
2) Laura Ingraham,
3) Mike Gallagher,
Lesser known but still appreciate the support
4) Doug Giles,
5) Barbara Simpson
And some other ones who may not be as well known.
Any word from Mark Levin, Michael Medved or Hugh Hewitt yet?
...Take a breath, it’s all stagecraft for the money. Their souls have been bought...
