While racy photos of Miss California Carrie Prejean could cost the outspoken first runner up in the Miss USA pageant her crown, pageant officials don't seem to care about even steamier photos of Miss Rhode Island that appeared in a mens magazine.
So is Prejean being targeted simply for her beliefs?

Yep. As do the forged photos of Miss Prejean.
Forged? has this been reported somewhere?

Castonguay posed topless for a Maxim magazine shoot and a few swimsuit calendars before competing in the pageant, but reportedly revealed the pictures to Miss USA officials, who approved them. As opposed to Miss California Carrie Prejean who lied about their existance, then denied them when questioned about them. Character matters, and when it came time to divulge and tell the truth, Carrie apparently thought that the rules that apply to everyone else, do not apply to her.

Miss Prejean was advertising a product and was a minor at the time. This appears to be advertising skin and Maxim.com.

It is NOT the racy photos that is threatning her crown. What is threatning her crown is she is speaking about what happened/and her views on marriage at functions where she is representing as Miss California.
She signed a contract not to represent any political views at any function where she is going as Miss Ca. She is supposed to be apolitical at these functions.
If she takes off her crown and sash and speaks at these events as an individual about gay mariage no problem.

It’s always a double standard.
At some point, this sort of thing will become
tiresome on the voters.
Every time they try to ruin peoples lives for no good reason.
gives up hope more people will be enlightened come next election.
And a lot of praying wouldn’t hurt.
God help America.

That is presenting a double standard. She was denied any points by the activist judge who posed the question.
He said on Larry King that "yes" she should have been "politically correct".
The only scenario he could posit that would've been correct and holding to her views was that "it's a good question" and "timely" and that "people have the right to their views".

Most beauty contestants are also models. Models do underwear and nude modeling. Nothing shameful about it.
Who is the MOST famous woman to EVER be crowned Ms. America?
She was also, IMHO, the most talented.
Vanessa Williams.
She not only posed nude, she posed nude provocatively with (gasp!) another woman in lesbian style poses.
My Dad's comment on seeing Ms. Williams on MTV....
“Who is that?”
“Vanessa Williams.”
“Oh, didn't recognize her without the beard.”

She IS cute, a solid 8.75, but nothing special.
You can tell Rhode Island is a small state, if this is the best they got.

If the rules are applied, they should apply to all. Hence the name - “rules.”
And Trump should revisit the rules regarding judges and questions, too., I’m sure he will - and just as sure any changes will not be publicized. Can’t criticize that Hilton boy and be accused of “homophobia,” you know.

I agree. I wouldn’t get cranky if she were eating saltines in my bed, but I wouldn’t give up an offshore tuna fishing trip to stay home with her.

Sure, it sure sounds like Carrie is being unfairly picked on; until you read the
contract . I suggest you take a look at page 8, paragraph 9a. Carrie lied.

Models do underwear and nude modeling. Nothing shameful about it. Yes, they do. That being said, Miss (pick your state) & Miss America contestants are supposed to be moral and above the crowd. They are supposed to be the creme of the crop.
How far we have been culturally dumbed down that conservative posters on this site are sticking up for Miss Prejeans semi nude photos and her past behavior.
