WASHINGTON (CNN) Nicolle Wallace, a top adviser to George W. Bush and John McCains presidential campaign, is adding a few names to the list of Republicans who might lead the GOP out of the wilderness.
Top among them? Actor Gary Sinise.
Wallace, writing on The Daily Beast, said she first heard the idea from a fellow Republican.
She also named Generals David Petraeus and Ray Odierno.

One of my all time favorite movie scenes:
Forrest: “Lieutenant Dan, what are you doing here?”
Lt. Dan: “Well, thought I’d try out my sea legs.”
Forrest: “Well, you ain’t got no legs, Lieutenant Dan.”
Lt. Dan: “Yes, I know that.”
Sinise has better go no where near Nichole Wallace, or the liberal rag she writes for.
Zzzzzzzzz.
We already had celebrity style voting in 2008. Once is enough
OK, I’ll bite:
What his stance on the following issues:
1. Illegal Immigration
2. Abortion
3. Gay Marriage.
What do you want to bet he is on the wrong side of all three.
And Actor Gary Sinise is..... ?
I do not know much about their core beliefs but agree that this is an important conversation to have. Other than Rush, I do not see anyone of stature out there articulating conservative values and how they are best for the nation and the individual. I am convinced that if that is done properly most would agree. Unfortunately, the package the individual is in seems to make much more of a difference than it should. Maybe an actor with the right views who knows how to work the media (such as Reagan) would be just the ticket.
Nicolle Wallace: A political analyst for the CBS Evening News until May 2008, she has more recently served as a spokesperson for the John McCain presidential campaign
She’s the one who set up Sarah Palin for the Couric interview!
Nuff said!
I like Gary Sinise. He’s done a lot for our troops. But how is he remotely qualified to “lead the GOP,” whatever that means.
I don’t see that Gary Sinise would want to have anything to do with politics, at least in that regard. I think he’s probably a better spokesperson for the cause where he is, and I think he’s smart enough that he really doesn’t want to wallow in that pig-sty.
Unless we're talking about Alec Baldwin. I'd love to see him run for something. I'd move to that state just for the opportunity to vote against him.
Additionaly the last I understood was that most thought Petraus had been a nominal Democrat if any affiliation at all.
He’s my boyfriend! :)
“WASHINGTON (CNN)” that’s all you need to know about this “story”.
Sinise would get my vote in a heart beat.
I agree. Reagan was an actor (and also started out as a radio announcer) which helped make him a master at communication and of handling the media - especially television. We live in a different world now - imho, that was first made clear during the Nixon/Kennedy debates. Kennedy was much more telegenic, etc.
Nicole waas McCAIN’s spokesperson....says a lot. I like her but Nicole is obviously a moderate.
Bass player for the LT Dan Band.
