I remember it was slow in coming down in the news that he was Muslim too. It was like they did not want to report his name, because it was a sure giveaway.It might be awhile before we know the particulars of this incident as well.

Yep, that’s why I’m reserving any judgment about the soldier who did the shooting... I’m definitely praying for his soul right now, and his family as well. At times like this I have to rely on the fact that God knows his heart, and what was really going on (I sure am glad I’m not God — what a tought job that would be...) It’s hard for us here on Earth when things can get all “grey” instead of black & white... It’s hard to know where to place the anger until the reason for the action is known (if it ever can be...).
I’m glad the shooter is in custody — maybe we’ll find out WHY he did it then!
The identity of the attackers, or how they got into the base was not immediately clear, and U.S. and Iraqi officials could not be reached for comment. There have been several incidents recently when gunmen dressed as Iraqi soldiers have opened fire on American troops, including an attack in the northern city of Mosul on May 2 when two soldiers and the gunman were killed.

Beware of falling into the anti-vet crapola of the left. The Virginia Tech killer was a graduate student, as were a number of other campus terrorizors. What does that tell us about Grad students? Probably nothing.

Interesting — so this may not have been a “friendly” fire incident after all... If it turns out that a local Imam is behind this, that changes it ALL.
I’m feeling sad at the moment, but if this was a “sneak attack” in a way, that’ll change the emotions for sure...

Ahhh... understood. Sometimes they confuse things when they try to give background information by linking diverse incidents like this. It’s annoying at times, isn’t it?
