On Tuesday, May 12, we will be escorting Spec. Ryan C. King from the funeral home in Dallas, Georgia to the National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Spec. King was killed in action in Afghanistan on May 1.
If any FReepers would like to join us for this mission, you are more than welcome. You need not be a PGR member to ride with us, and you need not ride a motorcycle.
Staging information for this mission is as follows:
TUESDAY May 12
Staging at Ingles Supermarket (270 Merchants Sq. Dallas, GA 30132) at 0900. Kickstands up at 0945
We will form a flag line for the funeral service to be held at 1100 and then escort to the National Cemetery in Canton.
The mission thread can be seen here: http://www.patriotguard.org/ALLForums/tabid/61/forumid/11/postid/1147280/view/topic/Default.aspx
If you would like to ride with us, and you're in the North Georgia area, please FReepmail me. I'll tell you where I'll be at 0630 and perhaps we can all ride to Dallas together. If you are unable to attend, please keep Ryan in your prayers.

I hadn’t thought of posting missions here. Just might do that for local KIAs to get some freepers out for them here in N.Tx

We met his plane yesterday at PDK and escort him to Dallas with LEO escort who SHUT DOWN traffic on I-285 to allow us to pass.. Watching his wife, parents and grandparents at the airport was gut-wrenching but I was truly honored to be there.. Patriot Guard Riders - Standing for those who stood for us

I was on the escort run for the Medal of Honor Recipients from DFW to Greenville. The police and troopers shut down 114 and 35N-W for us to pass. 300+ bikes strong. It was awesome. PGR is quite an organization. I've met some of the finest people I've ever known through it.

I will post pictures of the turnout on this thread. Out of respect and for the privacy of the family, there will be no pictures of the coffin, burial service or family..
