What a couple of beauties. I hope they fry.
Looks like these creeps will be facing murder raps with in the Texas Judicial System.
I’m thinking these property owners might have been a tad hasty in pulling the trigger this time.
Facts here are skimpy; I would like to know more. First off let me say I do not believe children who trespass should be shot, but this article is thin on details.
For example, have off-roaders, these in particular, been through there before and stolen anything in the past, or committed vandalism, run down and killed livestock, etc. There isn’t much being stated in this article. Nowadays so many children accompany their parents on crime sprees, I’ve become cynical.
I pray this doesn’t become another example of why “ordinary citizens” odn’t need guns!
Straight out of “Deliverance”. These chunks of human debris should be put to death in Huntsville. I would not mind at all being on the jury that sentences them.
Remember that gun ban advocate Carl Rowan shot a trespasser in Washington DC with an illegal handgun.
Castle law isn’t going to apply here.
Is trespassing “iminent threat” ... I don’t think so. Wow...to shoot because they are on your property? God bless the little boy and may he rest in peace. Hope the friend who is in the hospital recovers as well. This is too sad.

They look straight out of the movie, “Halloween.” Where is Jason?
Doesn’t anybody just yell, “Hey! Get off muh lawn, yuh dern kids!” anymore?

My first thought on seeing the couple charged with the shooting was “Meth Heads”. Maybe in their drug induced stupidity, they figured the folks on their property were there to rob them, and didn’t bother to wait to see what the folks were actually doing before they shot them.
Something is not right about this. These two aren’t normal people.
Unfortunately this kind of vermin is now in every society.
I think the media love this kind of stories. Fools like these two can be used to make southerners/Texans and gun owners all look bad in one fell swoop. It allows them to make the bigoted generalizations they abhor in others...”Well what do you expect...they’re from TEXAS, after all...”
The perps are a couple of idiots...they’ll live to regret this one.
Common sense isn’t all that common.
If I had been shot every time I trespassed as a youth, I’d have been killed hundreds of times. I’ve walked miles and miles in a straight line, crossing property borders a number of times on one walk.
I’ve swam in other people’s ponds. I’ve used swimming holes. I’ve gone spelunking through caves. I’ve even hunted across other folks property as kids, with our 22s.
There was no malice, and in the areas where we did this, the property owners couldn’t have cared less.
How do you gun down a seven and five year old child? I’m guessing these two had the same last name before they were married. Their parents and grand-parents probably did too.
wow...
Sheila Muhs took the first shot at the victims, then handed the shotgun to her husband Gale, who shot next, continuing to take turns shooing at the unarmed victims.
The victims were at the end of a daylong excursion on off-road vehicles through wooded paths along the Trinity River in the town of Westlake. Donald Coffee Sr., 36, his wife and two children, Donald Jr., 7 and destiny, 5 were all together in one SUV. A family friend, Patrick Cammack, 30, drove a second vehicle. An unidentified 11-year-old boy was also with the group of victims.
The Muhs shot 7-year old Donald, Jr. in his head, 5-year-old Destiny in her elbow and Donald, Sr. in the shoulder. Donalds wife was unharmed. The family friend, Patrick Cammack was not so lucky. He was shot in his neck.
One report has Cammack fleeing in his vehicle in close pursuit by Sheila Muhs in her own four-wheeler. He abandoned his vehicle and started running for his life when Sheila Muhs shined her lights on his vehicle.
