The info in the article disagrees almost entirely with the info in the following article. So one is very wrong, which I don’t know.

If I look out my window and I see a person taking boxes out of my garage, first thing I am going to do is call law enforcement. Then take my trusty .357 and go to work, like shooting the tires out from under the thief's car letting him know I mean business. I am not going to run out there and start shooting the guy full of holes for a box of junk.
If I am sleeping and someone breaks in...well that is a different game altogether..I am pulling out my 12 gauge and start shooting.
This is a decision every individual must make taking a person's life. The question is can you live with that? Nobody likes to be stolen from it pisses me off like everyone else, but it is only stuff, things and of course my first reaction would be shoot the bastard. But as a responsible gun owner I take owning weapons very seriously and this type of question is not a joke to me.
As far as the bank Currier go. If it came down to a person or a couple of persons trying to rob them, you know chances are that they are going to be armed themselves and mean business. They are not just going to walk up to a guard and hand them a little note.
That is why I give them a very wide berth when the Brinks trucks are in front of the bank. ;-)
Thats a hard 45.
One word...sunscreen
This has been my contention on the local message boards here in town. These people should not have shot these people where they seem to be annoying but not threatening. But the other side of the story is what the heck where they doing out there ...and why are they peeing on peoples property. Again they had no right to do this but do you put your children in this situation.
There just doesn’t seem to be enough facts but alot of outrage because a kid died. But how did this develop and what where the factors ... this did happen at night, and why are you offroading in the dark with a 7 year old. And why are you pee’ing in a subdivision. Again doesn’t mean they had to right to be shooting at these folks but there would seem to be a whole other side of the story
Oh yew in ntruble now........:o)
Oh yeah, we have a few more here that think, suggest, or imply this this was a rational thing for this morons to do, open up on people off roading!! wow...
In Cal, where I'm from, we've been off roading since I was 4 years old, day, night, morning, and dawn...
Been out for days in the desert, not seeing another soul, and we have come across people living in *extreme* remote regions,...It's usually met with a wave, or stop to shoot the bull....Not gun fire.
what the heck where they doing out there ...and why are they peeing on peoples property
These two families probably had no idea they were in a GD war zone, filled with crackheads, clowns and psychos, ready to shoot at ya...
I am glad I don't live near some of you folks.
Ya'll ought to run these two people for Sheriff down there.
From the age of birth to fifteen, I wasn’t exactly a property rights expert. Now, do you think I should have been shot on sight?
I grew up on a 120 acre farm. There were large farms all around us.
Even in grade school, we would go on excursions through the countryside. In boarding school we walked all over the region. People didn’t seem to mind in those days.
There weren’t fences everywhere.
You're trying to change the subject.
Your post was about children trespassing, and so was my reply.
Not everyone thinks a seven year old kid is 'trespassing' when they are just playing around or hunting on your property. In fact, most people around here are neighbors who welcome them. But, most of us don't look like or act like meth smoking loons.
Some of these properties have ponds, streams, rivers, caves, forests, animals and other critters, birds and other things that are interesting to see.
I didn’t carry a riffle by myself until I was about 12 or so. It was a 22 when I did. I had been trained to carry it very carefully, always pointing it to the ground, always covering the trigger guard area when carrying it through the brush. I was also taught that a gun is never to be handled as if unloaded. To this day, I don’t even take a gun that I know is unloaded, and move it so that it dissects a plain where a human is located. NEVER. And frankly, if I’m around someone who does, I leave.
Like you mention, most people on farms don’t mind folks walking across their property. The one time I did hunt on someone else’s farm, it was at the direction of the adults. They knew the neighbors didn’t have a problem with us doing it.
I hate to see people commit crimes like shooting these people for no justifiable cause. They make a bad name for others.
Balanced people should read this and think loons. Unfortunately the left isn’t balanced, and they’ll read about it and think, “gun owners”.
