I could say here that $400M over eight years would be over a half a billion dollars because of investment, interest, etc. But, somehow I don't think the author of the screed meant that. I'm convinced that most of his constituents are just that stupid - and you can't fix that!

You could also say "well" over half a billion dollars...but you're obviously too compassionate.

Compassionate; I love the word compassion...my American Heritage Dictionary defines it as " Deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish to relieve it.

I have two questions:
1. How "deep" can awareness be?
2. When was the last time any of you "wished" something into being.
