Tea Party Express Rolling Through the Country

The “Our Country Deserves Better PAC” is organizing a “Tea Party Express” tour across the country later this summer. The group is planning tea parties in cities from coast to coast, culminating in our 9-12 March on Washington. Check out their website here, and take a look at the route. Pretty cool.

Sorry, but, IMHO, this is total crap.

The Tea Parties are local events organized by local people, not a bunch of whistle stops.

Ah, come on upchuck - the Tea Parties have different expressions in favor of common goals. There’s no abosultely pure expression of Tea Parties, nor some sacrosanct way to conduct them - is there?

As to PACs - also come on - do you expect to make a dent in taking back the nation without any money? I’m not saying we should trust just any PAC, but “Our Country Deserves Better PAC” doesn’t sound like it has a bad mission - does it?

Agreed. Sounds good, but I'm very leary of Dick Armey's PAC possibly trying to co-opt the Tea Parties into some vehicle for the GOP.

Again - doesn’t sound like a bad group. We can disagree about tactics, discuss which are the best tactics, etc. But let’s not be too paranoid of each other.

Also, the Republican party cannot and should not be shot in the head - does anyone want to debate that? I’ll certainly debate that point with anyone here. Start with the idea of how you will win an electoral majority with winner takes all elections - and we’ll go from their.

I advocate - run 3rd party (AIP, et al) and independent conservative candidates against all RINOs in the primaries - then force any R candidate to make public and private commitments to the Conservative movement in their areas - or else support the 3rd party candidates in the general as well.

In any case I advocate a dual - BOTH/AND strategy to force the R party back to conservatives and to build and strengthen the Conservative movement.

It was part of annual parade, and NO, there was NO press coverage of this.
