Dereliction of duty is a better term to use in regards with Hillary Clinton and Mr. Obama ....
What are they going to say when North Korea lobs a few nukes at South Korea or even has the capability of hitting our west coast ??? are they still going to say that we should be patient with North Korea ? .....

Patience? As opposed to what? U.N. sanctions? We know how effective those are.

"We may have to show some patience before that is achieved, but we agree on the goal that we are aiming for," Clinton said.

In other words, North Korea told her to go screw herself, and she doesn't have a clue as to what to do next.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday that the U.S. and its negotiating partners may have to "show some patience" before nuclear disarmament talks with North Korea can resume.

What would you do otherwise? Throw a tantrum?

...aimed at scrapping North Korea's nuclear program in exchange for aid under a landmark six-party agreement signed in 2007...

So, NK obviously violated the terms of that deal. Our starting position should be we take back any and all concessions we made in that agreement. Further, before we even talk about talking, NK takes positive, verifiable steps towards coming into compliance with the agreement. Until then, starve and freeze NK. Oh, and by the way, the next IRBM test you run thinly disguised as a "satellite launch" attempt - we're shooting it down, no matter where it is headed.

Nuclear Japan Will Counter North Korea

North Korea launching the Taepodong-2 ballistic missile offers compelling logic for Japan developing missile defense and nuclear retaliatory capabilities. Japanese should be asking where is evidence the U.S. would risk a nuclear strike on their country, just because Japanese cities are incinerated.

There exists abundant evidence to the contrary. Japan initially confirmed U.S. unstable, juvenile, ignorant attempts at international diplomacy when Clinton ignored the “face’ principle in concluding a bilateral agreement with North Korea over nuclear weapons, which excluded China, Russia, South Korea, and Japan. Bush #2 began six party talks, but undercut diplomatically a rare display of U.N. assertiveness in Resolutions 1695 and 1718 imposing military and economic sanctions on North Korea. A new missile launch prompts Obama to express displeasure, and to propose drastic cuts in our nuclear arsenal and missile defense program. Finally the vacuous mind of Hillary Clinton councils patience? This country remains mired in failed approaches to a lunatic regime.

Amazingly Russia and China offer approaches contrary expected cynicism and paranoia. North Korea escaped traditional coercion and prejudice through nuclear weapons programs based, not on Russian or Chinese, but Pakistani technology. In response these Asian leaders seem comfortable with a mentally unstable nuclear regime on their borders. Brezhnev or Mao would have dispatched such reckless individuals to cancer wards.

Japan's national self interest embraces a several thousand year heritage unfathomable to Westerners driven by two year election cycles. Japan’s decision to reject U.S. military protection will leave experts astonished with the rapid removal of political, technological, and treaty barriers.

The recent changes to Japan's basic law governing space should be all the clue needed that their patience is nearing an end. Following are links to two articles about the subject. I also found a PDF giving the full law text.

Is that the same “patience” she used with Bill? “All things come to those who are patient”...and have their hubbie by the privates? I pity Kim Jong Ill...
