I am trying to understand when is a change in government treason?

In History what Benedict Arnold did was Treason?

Is there such a thing in America as treason any more?

Yes, to disagree with Obama is treasonous.

Probably espousing Christian principles is about as close as it comes in Obama’s America.

Bush should have prosecuted some people (even senators) for treason. Freedom of speech is one thing, but actively working to make your country lose a war is quite different.

But Bush did nothing. It is now my opinion that treason is no longer a workable concept. In fact, to a large extent, working for the destruction of this country, and of our entire way of life, is a primary goal for many millions of people. They're called Democrats.

It seems that the concept of “Treason” is now widely regarded as some sort of quaint historical concept that really does not apply in modern times. Especially since Obammy can do no wrong...don’t you know?

Anyone who supports the Constitution as written is a treasonous terrorist who must be closely monitored.

Not since Jane Fonda wasn’t tried and executed.

US Constitution
“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

Any criticism of Barack Hussein Obama, his administration, his policies or decisions is grounds for treason. We here at FR are ALL on his Homeland Security terror list.

The Left will redefine treason soon enough. Drive an SUV? Treason. Want to home school your kids? Treason. Don’t want to submit to sharia law? Treason.

Yes — if you disagree with The One, that act is treason.

Wrong.

There is no such thing as treason against a dead nation.
What you have listed is blasphemy.

When Clinton people trashed the West Wing there should have been charges brought and a trail in the Courts even it Bush did not want to do this it was something that the Citizens deserved to have and hear what was going on in America and than maybe moderates and independent Americans could see who these people really are!

We have a generation of XYZ’ers who really have no clue of the degree of Right and Wrong!

Q: Is there such a thing in America as treason any more?
UR A: Bush should have prosecuted some people (even senators) for treason.
But Bush did nothing.

Thaaaat's right! Treason was ALWAYS prosecuted before we had a President George W. Bush!
I clearly recall Jon Effn sKerry, Uncle Teddy Kennedy, William Ayers, Bernadine Dorhn, Jane Fonda and her idiot husband along with many, MANY more being prosecuted and hung or spending the rest of their miserable lives behind bars! < /s>

Disgusting ..... simply disgusting!!!

Bush's Fault

The formation of our Constitution was, in effect, treasonous against the original government of the 13 Colonies. But that’s due to letter of law.

Definition is as follows:

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. “

According to this, several presidents, one former, one current, and almost all congressmen and senators, could be implicated in a court of law.

1. By refusing to close our southern border during a time of war, especially when evidence exists that people from enemy nations and groups have quite possibly crossed said border.

2. By apologizing to said enemy nations/groups and the world in general for America’s actions to defend itself.

I’m sure others could be found, but both of those give aid and or comfort to enemy combatants during a time of War.

Blasphemy is a sin.
The wages of sin are death.
Thoughtcrime is blasphemy, and does not entail death:
thoughtcrime IS death.
Repent and embrace BO.
