Thank God for. . . Scorpion Venom?
by Brian Thomas, M.S.*
The vast majority of modern medicines are toxic at high concentrations or when misused, but they can promote health at low concentrations and when they are carefully applied. Thus, the very same compound can confer both beneficial and deleterious effects, depending on how it is utilized. Illustrating this, a new medicine to slow brain cancer is on its wayand it comes from scorpions!...

Praise God for scorpions...Ping!!!
Magnificent breakthrough! I just pray that people can still obtain the treatment when this moron passes the new deathcare bill!
Praise God. Period. If it weren’t for Him we wouldn’t be here.
Amen to that!
BTW posting from my Smart Phone (that, ironically, does some REALLY stupid things). So if my responses are late please forgive me.
Holy!!!
God is so great that we can’t comprehend how many different ways He’s afforded us to live and prosper. This is just one more example of His compassion for us.
There's an estrogen replacement drug called Premarine that gets it's name from the source of the drug. PRegnant MAre's urINE.
Amen!
This makes perfect sense in a creation science framework, too - God likely created the scorpions with venom, harmless in its initial form, as a means of natural medicine for the benefit of man. After the Fall, the stinger was a relatively simple adaptation developed that turned God's medicine into a deadly poison - another plain reminder of millions of man's sin and fall from Grace. Its an example of why nature, in its outward manifest form is not always in conformity with God's original plan, even though His Handiwork is always present, if you look for it.
Just a theory, mind you, but maybe one that creation scientists should consider - Praise Him either way!
How would this theory be testable and repeatable?
I praise Him but probably not often enough.
Thanks for the ping!
Maybe "theory" isn't exactly the correct word, from a scientific standpoint; why don't you just suggest a better one, since you're such a stickler for accuracy?
2nd!
