"We'll release its findings and release a photo," he said.
That was after Gibbs indicated Tuesday that the White House would not release any images.
"I've watched CNN," he said at the time, noting the considerable coverage from amateur footage. "I didn't notice a lack of archival material from that flight."
The flyover triggered panic among New Yorkers as well as the internal review by the Obama administration.
Officials last week sent an Air Force One backup plane to fly over lower Manhattan to capture the presidential plane with the Statue of Liberty in the background. The public was not notified in advance that there should be no cause for alarm.
Some New Yorkers were reminded of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, sparking chaos as employees evacuated office buildings and inundated emergency call centers to raise the alarm.
President Obama soon after denounced the photo-op, which cost $328,835, calling it "a mistake."

In keeping with Zero’s arrogance, he’ll probably release a photoshop.
That’s one terrorized Mickey!
maybe it was a not too subtle message to wall street investment banks and brokerages
Is it possible to get a radar track of the flight path?
I’d think it possible that something like aircraft over NY city would be traced in a computer data base
Oh, boy. That’s encouraging, LOL.
Wouldn’t THAT be a blessing.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the captain speaking. If you’d kindly look out your left side cabin windows, you will see Wall Street, former center of American finance.”
BTTT
Professional photographers usually only take one photo, don't they? It's not like memory grows on trees, you know.
Did you take your screen name from the old Delta blues singer?
They got away with doing our Dear Leaders COLB, why not do it again with the photo?
You know, none of this matters that much.
The ——#1 important—— thing here is that PEOPLE WERE NOT WARNED that they were doing this.
Uhbama and his lackies sent alot of people screaming for nothing. At the very least, it was insensitive.
We can argue about all the other aspects, but this is the important thing - they scared NYers.
Yep, had recently been introduced to his music through Stephan Grossman and Fred Sokolow video series, actually I’m a guitar repair man first, and second, I also like to play, glad you caught that and I hope it drives Democrats that lurk crazy
I’m not a repairman but am playing again.
If you know Son House, you must know Charley Patton, Robert Johnson, Rice Miller (Sonny Boy Williamson), Howlin’ Wolf, McKinley Morganfield (Muddy Waters), Elmore James (one of my faves), Ike Tuner (yes, that Ike Turner), the other Sonny Boy Williamson, James Cotton, Pinetop Perkins, Buddy Guy, and on and on from the “Chicago-Delta” connection...
kind of a challenge for one man to fly a plane so close to the ground, surrounded by skyscrapers AND photograph another plane in proximity of a national monument .... do they think anyone would believe that???????
About half of those you’ve mentioned, Praise God I’m Satisfied by Blind Willie Johnson is what I’ve listen to lately
probably the biggest introduction to them is through Fred Sokolow series, Fred is great at bringing up important bits of history,
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_MI?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=fred+sokolow&x=17&y=15
and this is the best of his series for a guitar beginner in my opinion, I think his Fretboard Raodmaps is more popular, but also more difficult
Did you see the current Hendrix thread?

Thanks for the links, Son. I’ll check them out.
Didn’t see the JH thread, I’ll check it out, too.
Does anyone know if there were “guests” aboard the plane?
