Yes indeed. In the hands of terrorists, crackpots, murders, drug dealers and other scum. These people can get illegal guns anytime they wish, right now. They won't have to go to Montana to get them.

Not ONE of which I can access at work - they're blocked either for "social" or "weapons" - so this is a self ping to read up on it at home. Sounds like you work for the Air Force.

The problem I can forsee is that states that liberalize their gun laws can expect an influx of a criminal element because they use guns too.If you really believe that, you should post a sign on your front door stating "occupant unarmed" to keep the criminals away.

We can dream but.....there are no steel mills in Montana that I know of. If a manufacturer buys steel to make weapons out of they are engaging in interstate commerce. This law will be struck down.

I’m still willing to say that the action cycling will still make more noise than the round.

Just found two without trying too hard.
B&D Fabrication Havre, MT
Black Butte Mfg, Inc Belgrade, MT
Or are you going to come back and say that the iron ore and plastics in all the weapons now need to come from Montana itself?

The interstate commerce clause essentially became meaningless after the FDR.

I believe part of the Montana bill states that Montana will defend whoever is arrested/fined/whatever by the feds. --
That section was struck out. Law as-passed
Law proposed and REJECTED:
NEW SECTION. Section 7. Duties of the attorney general. (1) A Montana citizen whom the government of the United States attempts to prosecute, under the congressional power to regulate interstate commerce, for violation of a federal law concerning the manufacture, sale, transfer, or possession of a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition manufactured and retained within Montana must be defended in full by the Montana attorney general. (2) Upon written notification to the Montana attorney general by a Montana citizen of intent to manufacture a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition to which [sections 1 through 7] apply, the attorney general shall seek a declaratory judgment from the federal district court for the district of Montana that [sections 1 through 7] are consistent with the United States constitution.
