How to get a fair shake?

We are California natives and can't wait to get out of here. We have about three years to go. Need some suggestions on how to get a fair shake when we move in next door to you with our two big dogs, 8 rifles, 9 hand guns, and 20,000 rounds of ammunition. Oh, my wife makes a great lemon meringue pie, too. Thoughts?

“We’ll go out of our way to comply with Mr. Blakeley’s request...

No, providing the information is not "going out of your way", it's your JOB!

I think people who make false claims like the story in the original post and yours should be jailed for a time equal to the maximum possible jail time the person they falsely accused would be facing if the charges were real.

The Duke rape case liar should be facing triple the max the guys whose lives she tried to destroy were up against, as there were 3 false claims. .

Although the perp in this case is the probable lib anti-gunner who made the false call in the first place, the PD shares some blame in not vigorously investigating and prosecuting the false report. The police owe it to the community they serve, they owe it to the citizens and they owe it to themselves. If they keep charging onto honest citizens property with weapons drawn, something bad is going to happen sooner or later.

Time for Mr Blakely to file suit for punitive damages AND the copies of the police report, transcripts from the 911 call, names of the callers and other information that he requested previously.

GREAT story! Did this ever make into your local news? Would be interested in reading how your “local MSM” reported the story...

Liberal Urban transplants from anywhere behave the same.

Too true. Geographically, most of California is rural, but is unfortunately electorally governed by 2 huge metropolitan areas (SF and LA)

Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman said the officers responded appropriately considering the information they had received.

False reports can get people killed

Unbelievable. Clearly something is wrong with this "shoot first ask questions later" police policy!

(Just another mini-Waco.)

"Liberal Urban transplants from anywhere behave the same."

Yes indeed. Arizona has had open carry laws for years. An acquaintance of mine used to work in a K-Mart and one day had a guy run up to her at the back of the store, yelling that she needed to call police because a guy with a gun was at the front of the store.

"He has a gun? Well what's he doing with it?"

"He has a gun on his hip."

"On his hip? In a holster?"

"Yes!"

"Sir, where are you from?"

"New York."
