Obama is over-reaching so violently, he is risking a massive backlash against the left if the country wakes up. That is, IF the country wakes up. If not, then his power grab results in pure socialist tyranny coming from the national government (I can’t even call if federal anymore, as it ceased to be “federal” long ago.)

But Obama’s over-reaching is still very risky. The communist left has had massive success moving toward socialism through incrementalism. The frog is still soundly in the toasty pot. Obama is turning the fire on high and hoping the frog will stay in the pot. With our dumbed-down, ignorant, apathetic, immoral, entitlement-minded electorate, he just might be right. I guess it is worth a gamble to him.

I pray that his over-reaching creates a massive backlash.

Our daughter lives in California and voted for Obama. That's not so unusual from what I've seen so far.

But a couple of weeks into his term, she wrote him a scathing letter, basically saying “Daddy was right. I'm sorry I voted for you.”

On the run-up to the 100-day adoration, she asked me what I thought so far.

I finally answered her by sending a copy of your post. You have nailed it. Thank you for finding the words.

This is very true. In addition, people seem to like him personally (I think he's creepy and ominous) and he is very good at saying what they want to hear. Cardinal George of Chicago had a meeting with him a couple of weeks ago to discuss abortion, and Cdl George came out of the meeting saying that it was sort of like Alice in Wonderland, because Obama kept insisting that he and Cdl George believed the same thing about abortion. Cdl George said that he had to tell Obama firmly several times that there was nothing in common between their views, but that Obama just blandly went on as if he had said nothing. In other words, he is doing much of this by simply saying anything that he thinks people want to hear - while doing anything that he wants to do or is being told to do by whoever is behind him. If we had a decent press, he would be held accountable for this. But as it is, he can say one thing, do the opposite, and it causes absolutely no waves.

Furthermore, when there is any opposition (such as on the part of Lauria), he shows his fangs and the fangs of the entire US government apparatus, and people are afraid. But he usually does it privately and then just lies about it afterwards, so most people are unaware of it. In addition, they'd simply rather not know.

This guy was sold to them by the press as some sort of savior and hero, and they're not going to let reality interfere.

Communism has been gradually introduced into the collective mind of this country by more than 40 years of terrible state education, but it took a Great Leader to personalize it, put a face on it, and finish the task of making it fully accepted by Americans.

‘We’re Done With (fill in the blank)” Rally should be started with each state at the local level and rising up to “snag and shag” all the political self servers!

I doubt that many even understand what has just happened.

The 0bama Regime just broke SEC rules.

They are above the law, just as they are above the law in terms of National Security.

No, most 0bamaniacs will see this as "sticking it to The Man", not knowing or caring that they have just destroyed, not only the livelihood of auto workers, but of the many associated companies and their workers.

And that extends to any company or business in America that is connected in any way with bailouts or TARP funds.

THAT'S why the 0bama Regime does not want any of the TARP money given back.

That Scared Rabbit look you see on Geitner's face is because, unlike 0bama, he knows exactly was is happening, and has visions of El Duce's end in his mind.

Whoops!

My post to you should have included this quote form yours:

With our dumbed-down, ignorant, apathetic, immoral, entitlement-minded electorate, he just might be right. I guess it is worth a gamble to him.
