I remember hearing Bob Beckel last year assuring us that the candidate they feared most was....John McCain.

I had suspected that the media was making every effort to choose the two candidates. That is the moment when I no longer had any doubt.

I doubt he did anything for the Mormon church. They have their own investment wizards — Deseret Management Corp. . . .

Plus, I doubt very seriously whether the church is into funding startups. I think they are very, very conservative about their investments.

The Obama people like to get the Right stirred up. They know from FreeRepublic that many here will work to destroy any Republican who does not score 100% on the conservative litmus test.

IMO, they are doing a pretty good job (at this point in time) of playing their opponents for suckers. Yet, we are only in the first quarter of the game. Those who can make the most effective adjustments will win this playoff game.

I fear that Obama will destroy this country with the enthusiastic support of the morally sanctified “true believers” (some of whom are union trolls or shills) who fantasize that the USA will be born again. Dream on.

Ronnie is spinning in his grave.

Yeah, I would not support him politically either but I do agree that his father is a great man. His is an amazing story.

While no republican presidential candidate yet makes Obama's team "shake in {their} shoes...," President Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, now says Governor Jon Huntsman makes him, a "wee bit queasy...I think he's really out there speaking a lot of truth about the direction of the party."

Oh, please, as if this isn't the most blatant psych ops crappola. Really insulting.

The so called moderates are looking into Huntsman as a rising star. They figure the fact that Huntsman is from UT, conservatives will ignore his liberal speeches.

If Obama is strong in the polls come 2012, I might support a ticket of Romney/Huntsman. Let these two rich boys waste their money trying to take down Obama and lose.

Oh he is afraid of them: the evidence is clear. He and his lapdogs have been gunning for them since November of 2008.

This guy is more divisive than GW Bush or Clinton.

I have friends in Utah who tell me he was not a popular re-election choice because of his liberal views; however, Utah has changed with all the Californian's who have moved over there, all you have to do is read the comments in the Salt Lake Tribune to see how much and don't gorge the Tribune endorsed Obama. Their conservative paper is the Deseret News.

What my friends over there tell me is Huntsman's father is a very likeable man and I think that went a long way to give this Huntsman cover, but he is a Arnie "greenie" and there is still a lot of people in Utah who are chafing over how Clinton turned the Escalante into off limits to coal mining and put many out of work and did harm to a way they fund their schools in Utah in the process. Would I vote for him in the primary? Nope... but then by the time they get to us it's all over but the shouting.

Oh, I love his father, can listen to him for hours, but his son is not his father. Personally, I wish we could get far, far away from political nepotism.
