Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), the 2008 vice presidential nominee, will join a new Republican policy group aimed at reshaping and promoting the party brand.
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.)announced Palins decision to join the National Council for a New America on Monday night. The group launched late last week and held its first town hall-style forum on Saturday in Virginia.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the 2008 presidential nominee, indicated during a conference call last week that his former running mate had been invited to join the policy panel. The group, which is made up of prominent Republican leaders, plans to hold town hall meetings across the country over the next few months.
Palins absence from the group had prompted questions about whether she was snubbing it or being left out.
LOL
IF she joined, she would get a dozen “ethics” compalints.
OTOH, if Big John Mclamer is part of the process, why bother?
So do I . She will only lose credibility joining that pack of losers.
Cheers!
Sarah always seemed pragmatic.
Hold your friends close but your enemies closer.
If she had read the other FR thread she would have said no thanks. Are there any Conservative Republican leaders or is that an oxymoron these days?
The only good I can see coming out of this is if she delivers some barnstormin’ speeches defending solid conservative values, and leaves Mitt, McLame and any of the others looking like the squishy, spineless saps they are.
If you hold a rotten fish too closely, you begin to stink as well. I hope she doesn’t get too chummy with the walking dead.
I hope all the media outlets are getting it wrong.

I hope the delay was in order for her to prepare some very choice things to tell them.
CS Monitor wisely points out:
We should be cautious however because the last time SarahPAC confirmed Palin would participate in something, the governors office contradicted them saying they knew nothing about it and then the whole thing blew up.
Lordy. Maybe she will infuse it with some balls.
If McCain is part of it, I will NOT have any part of it, nor vote for anyone else who is in it.
I suspect she knows what she’s doing...
She’s the only one with a full set, that’s for sure.
We can only hope.
(Now I sound like an Obama campaign ad.)
Palin meets with the Democrat Lite whores.
Maybe she’ll knock some sense into em.
Um. Yah, that’s it.
