SOUTH BEND Anti-abortion activist Randall Terry was arrested at about 12:20 p.m. Friday on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
He was part of a demonstration against President Barack Obamas upcoming appearance at the Catholic university. The protest involved baby carriages holding dolls covered in fake blood.
Terry, who has promised to protest until Obamas May 17 scheduled appearance, had been issued a no trespass order by Notre Dame.
Security personnel placed Terry into a vehicle and drove him away.
I do not see how Terry's methodology is going to punish anyone, let alone the University that did not just overnight become liberal.
I agree as I know I shutter when I view their information. And I too do not need to be convinced.
Terry makes enough waves to bother everyone sooner or later, but I get the impression some of you folks wouldn’t have liked Thomas Paine.
What’s more remarkable, is how easy you make it seem, to see right into his heart.
You are ridiculous.
Since when does “civil disobedience” amount to “tearing down” our civilization?
Have YOU ever complained about civil disobedience, and street protests, when done by:
PETA?
ACT UP?
ACORN?
CODE PI?NK
The RAINBOW COALITION?
If you are embarrassed by OR and Randall Terry, and you are not embarrassed by Notre Dame, then the problem is in your brain, in your heart, and in your soul.
Look in the mirror -—
(IF you can even see a reflection anymore!)
Duh. Why else protest if not to draw attention to your cause?
This might pass again some day.
We have had the votes to pass such a law, in the past, and probably get a Presidential signature.
However, I will admit that Randall Terry and Judie Brown and ALL and OR have not been very supportive of that idea.
This is where I part ways with Terry and crowd.
However, on the ND issue, Randall Terry has my full support, and he deserves 100% support from the prolife movement.
Then why are liberals winning?
If you read the rest of my posts here, you will see that I SUPPORT THE IDEA THAT WE NEED MORE PUBLICITY!
And, Randall is the master at GETTING such, is he not?
I must admit, that has to be the stupidest comment of the season.
People don’t want to take the hard way out.
My inlaw graduate of ND is a liberal in the professional world. And most of his friends the same. NOT a practicing Catholic but very much a ‘white’ professional Bama supporter.... Makes for limited political discussion... Hates(ed) Bush for supposedly being anti-science. But there is NO doubt the name ND gives credibility where it counts in his professional endeavors...
However this person demands and requires his spouse my sister and their children to live up to and perform conservative standards.... I think it is the ‘guilt’ effect...
That's not an argument, that's an empirical fact. Too bad so many freepers are quivering moral cowards who, along with their liberal friends, would rather cravenly avert their gaze than face the cold grim reality.
>> >> Some would argue that abortion is the violent killing of an unborn child.
>> That’s not an argument, that’s an empirical fact.
Of course, and it’s also legal and profitable.
I have no problem with the dramatic promotion of Life. It’s about time as far as I’m concerned.
I have many scars from doing just that. I guess you and I are just more principled than some others.
Randall Terry’s daughter became a Muslim???
Are you sure of that?
It’s weird how many kids of famous conservatives like Anita Bryant and Randall Terry become homosexuals...

The ringmaster of this circus is the president of Notre Dame. In fact there would not even be a circus if he had kiboshed the honorary degree that the university will bestow upon a man who is on the record as favoring infanticide. It's as simple as that. He uncorked the bottle.
RE: Your tagline: Paul Revere was no doubt guilty of disturbing the peace.
"It's hard to point to one moment when you begin to come out to yourself," Jamiel begins his essay in the May issue of Out magazine, which appears on newsstands this week, "but if I had to, I'd go back to a night seven years ago when I was 17 . . . in my old bedroom at my parents' house . . . where my friend 'Johnny' and I had just finished fooling around."
This was the moment, Jamiel wrote, when he realized he was gay.

A few years back, Randall Terry divorced his wife, Cindy -- who once said her husband was touched by the divine -- and married a much younger woman. (Terry's ex barely speaks to him anymore.) Their four children say they still love their father but the relationship has frayed. Terry recently barred one of his adopted teenage daughters from his house after she got pregnant out of wedlock for the second time. Another adopted daughter also became pregnant as a teenager and later converted to Islam, a religion Terry has described as composed of "murderers" and "terrorists." (The couple's lone biological child, a daughter, is in college.)
