At his 100th-day town hall meeting in St. Louis, Mo., President Obama took direct aim at the anti-tax “tea party” demonstrations that have cropped up over the last month – and took a veiled shot at FOX News Channel, at the cable news network closely associated with the protests.
Asked about fiscal discipline and entitlements reform, Obama seemed to be repressing a smile as he jabbed critics of his spending plans.
"Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”
“But,” Obama continued, “let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."
It’s the president’s most direct response so far to the protests that flared up in some locations around tax day, on April 15.
In his briefing that day, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters: “I don't know if there's a specific response to protests..I think you saw the president today talk about as candidate Obama promising to bring a tax cut to 95 percent of working families in America, and as president delivering that tax cut.”

That’s because the phrase ‘tea bag’ has been co-opted to mean a disgusting sexual act, and THAT ONE has decided to jump on the classless, undignified wagon that CNN anchors and MSNBC talk show hosts have endorsed.

Bush term III, fortified with snark and with 50% less class (still a higher ppm than Clinton). All we need is for him to get to work expanding that Patriot Act and finding new turd-worlds to waste American lives and money on (while simultaneously lowering the effective DoD budget and increasing the funding of every other department, with a few perfunctory cuts thrown in for show). It was this clown vs McCain...log dam, what is wrong with America?
I know... I just think this is a very bad sign. PBO seems more and more like a Manchurian candidate every day. He just doesn’t know what to do without a prompter. Nancy Reagan, Special Olympics, teabagging...
It’s either a terrible sign of the change in our culture, or this country is really in for it. Or both.

This is why he doesn't just stay in the WH and do his job. He must go out and mix with people who adore him so he can get another Fix to last him through another day.
Obama has admitted to searching for himself for a long, long time. He has a history of a dysfunctional family, he is of mixed heritage and found that uncomfortable, and I doubt his real birth father is who he so long believed he was. That, I think, is why he does not want the Birth Certificate revealed. I think that is a secret the family kept from him and he only discovered recently, perhaps just prior to his grandmother's death.
The phony BC probably was what the family had made and the only one Obama had seen until then. I think it was his family who was ashamed of their daughter's pregnancy and so that spurred all the confusion about which hospital he was born in or where.
Having grandparents who lied to him about his father; a mother who abandoned him; the man he was told was his father abandoned him...all of these things are events that produce a narcissistic personality disorder and make an individual who is intent on achieving recognition, yet has no real abilities to produce anything significant. This is why he never held down a job for long, never did much as the editor of the Harvard Law Review, and that his main accomplishment has only been writing two books about himself. Obama has no depth and understanding of or interest in anything else than himself. He has no real empathy, he loves to make fun of others, and has to have an arrogant air about him to protect himself.
Every day he displays more and more of his emotional problem, and those who are supporting him will never believe they elected an emotionally unstable man who is vindictive, prejudiced, and cowardly...as all narcissists are. That is why he is so much like other dictators and must have total control (of his "subjects") as they demanded. His behavior is based on the same emotional disfunction they all had as narcissists.
America has elected a man who is actually suffering from his past and who is, deep inside, keenly aware that he cannot cope with the present in a emotionally healthy way. That is why he cannot deal with any criticism that might reveal his deficiencies. That is why he wants to establish "nice relations" with our enemies, because he has no ability to be strong against them and have them not like him.
Unfortunately, like so many dictators before, he has been able to trick millions...and the end result of putting him in charge of our country histroy will show is what destroyed America as we once knew it. There are just too many who have hitched their wagon to Obama and will never admit that they have been disgracefully wrong. They will go along with this emotionally dysfunctional man until it is too late.
Obama and Mrs Doubtfire made the offer. I contend that they were the dopes for making the offer to begin with.

Annie, half of his "majority" are folks who voted for him only because they couldn't stomach another GOP President. Or they really thought he would change the nature of Washington. Either way, these people aren't the MoveOn.org types. These people also participated in the Tea Parties and they feel betrayed by Obama.
