I don’t see how Arlen Specter’s defection is bad news for the Republicans. Specter didn’t vote with the Reps anyway, so does it really matter?

I wonder what they were offering.

Sounds like she has a yearning in her loins.

Snowe calls Specter move ‘devastating’
Maybe to her personally but hardly to the Republican Party as Spector has not been a Republican for many years now. His leaving opens spots for real Republicans to get into. And Snowe who is alsonot a Republican should also be honest and leave..

Specter’s move means Snowe can’t negotiate as much for her potential switch. She missed her market.

Go.
Take Collins and McAmnesty with you on the way out.

Snowe said the Republican Party never learned its lesson from the "painful" party switch of Sen. Jim Jeffords in 2001. Oh, and what lesson would that be exactly, Ms. Snowe? That there are too many rat's in RINO clothing in the Republican party?

RINOS go to first love. Probably neo-cons to follow the power.
What is the conservative path to victory?

Party affiliation means nothing. Specter and Snowe do not hold conservative core values.

Snowe said the Republican Party never learned its lesson from the "painful" party switch of Sen. Jim Jeffords in 2001. Actually it was Jumping Jim Jeffords who betrayed the GOP and the Republican voters who voted for him. He deliberately handed Congress to the Democrats like a bitter punk hope he got his 30 pieces of silver.

Specter isn’t a Democrat or a Republican.
He’s an opportunist who has always and will continue to sell his Senatorial vote to the highest bidder.
In other words he is a @@&*%(&.
