FAA says low-flying plane over Staten Island is 'pre-planned' flight to take photos by Staten Island Advance Monday April 27, 2009, 10:03 AM
A plane, that appears to be a commercial jet tailed by fighter jets, is a "pre-planned" military flight taking photos of the Statue of Liberty, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Reports indicate it may be Air Force One.
"It is pre-planned, pre-coordinated with everyone involved," said FAA spokesman Jim Peters. "It's a military flight over New York to take photos."
Peters, who stressed it is not an emergency, said the flight is circling the Statue of Liberty and New York City to take photos.
Peters said city officials as well as state government agencies in New York and New Jersey were briefed on the flight in advance.

The sad thing is, being the airplane nut that I am, I would LOVE to see a VC-25 do a couple of low passes like that with a couple of F-16s escorting. But to do it over the Statue of Liberty, near lower Manhattan, with 9/11 still a living memory for thousands down there...that shows a level of narcissism and insensitivity that we’ve come to expect from TOTUS, doesn’t it?
I expect that some flunky either in the Air Force or the White House is about to become the O-bus’s latest speedbump. Because for sure, TOTUS’ motto ain’t “the buck stops here,” it’s “this is not the buck I’ve known, it ain’t my buck, you can’t prove it’s my buck, it’s his buck.”

My grandson loves to visit and watch the C5A’s fly over and do their touch and goes a few miles east of here.
Many of us warned about the narcissism of TOTUS when he was just 0b0z0. That arrogance has awaken a few people.
It will be interesting to see who ends up under 0b0z0’s bus because of this incidence.

That was one of my first questions too.
I'd have to freeze or sweat to death for a long time to save the carbon that Zero wasted at taxpayer expense for this sure to be campaign photo op.

Talking of aircraft Photo-ops, I just had a B-24 Liberator fly directly over my house!
In one of the videos, you can CLEARLY see the presidential seal just forward of the wing and below the centerline of the plane.
King Baraq the Red is 100% behind this asinine stunt. I hope those people who were injured in the panic sue the living crap out of the King.
